Here is my 2nd attempt at a song for KVR One-Synth Challenge. Probably the most I've worked on of the 3 this month. I'm submitting this one for the challenge.
DAW: Waveform 13
Synth: Dawesome Myth
Plug-ins: Just the plug-ins that came with the synth. Tweaked for the song.
Presets used: Jupiter Nebula, Counterfactual, Meander, Init, Synth Drum, Snare, Big Drum, Kick 1, Hat 3.

There's no limits on resynthesis input material outside of not violating copyright, correct? I've got a very cool sketch that I can finish in the next couple days. It mostly uses a bad recording of my voice. And a drum phrase I made and have mangled in various ways.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Right. No limit.Ah_Dziz wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 11:04 pm There's no limits on resynthesis input material outside of not violating copyright, correct? But you don't have a couple days. The deadline is tomorrow at midnight, somewhere in Hawaii or that area.

...My D and D got cancelled so I was able to make a few "improvements". Louder bass, more percussion variety, few other things. The mix feels problematic but it's got a bit of an atmosphere I hope.

Close enough. I'll probably finish it. If not it's still fun.empphryio wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 12:05 amRight. Your post does not show an embedded player. Or a link, for that matter. This may be a problem on the voting page too. Maybe the track is not yet set to be public ?AuderMarr wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 2:02 am Here's my entry, "Blinded By C-Beams":

Sounds were obtained both by resampling some of my past OSC entries ("Twilight Calypso" for basses and atmospheric ambient below, "SC-F" for pads and "Restless" for plucks) and by using some stock patches for the drums.
DAW: Reaper 7.27

Here's my entry (ignore the one before this, now the link should work)
Sounds were obtained both by resampling some of my past OSC entries ("Twilight Calypso" for basses and atmospheric ambient below, "SC-F" for pads and "Restless" for plucks) and by using some stock patches for the drums (namely Big Kick, Clap, Snare).
DAW: Reaper 7.27
INSTANCES: 15 x Myth
NO SYNTH-FX: Analyzer (Signaldust), 1175 Compressor (Reaper), DD Compressor (Dead Duck), kHs Compressor (Kilohearts), Quadracom (Stige T.), ReaEQ (Reaper), Reverb-4 (TAL), Rough Rider 3 (Audio Damage), Trance Gate (Kilohearts), Transpire (Sonic Anomaly), TSAR Reverb (Softube), Unlimited (Sonic Anomaly), ValhallaFreqEcho (Valhalla), Valvity Tube Saturation (Reaper), Volume/Pan Smoother v5 (Reaper)
Plus a lot of automation on Mute, Pan and Volume.

My submission:

After a long time not participating (because of what life throws at you) I realized how much I love making music and how much I missed it. Here the storyline/thoughts behind this track: Compared to the universe we are just small grains of sand in a desert and that's why we shouldn't worry so much. The soft lead bell sound stands for us little humans with all our worries. The first big epic chorus stands for the universe which makes our worries seem completely irrelevant compared to it. The second chorus contains traces of the bell sound which symbolizes the unity of the small mankind and the giant universe (meaning we should find a balance/harmony between too much and too little worries).

Hey everyone
I just downloaded the synth
And I still have other stuff I must do today... but going to try to get something in. I doubt it will be my best work (not that that makes much difference - I've never managed to win top spot in too-many-attempts-to-count ha ha) So maybe a track later... good luck all

I'm going to be seriously impressed if you finish a track in one day of downloading Myth. Not the easiest to learn. Has the sample/Iris part. The physical modeling. And then a regular part. It does have 1000 presets if you just want to use those, which is fine, but I don't recall you being a "preseter" much. Has a tutorial in the synth. But that itself could eat up a good part of day, for some of us anyway. Tuning can be an issue FYI. But can have a really great sound. Very impressive synth.zarf wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 11:09 am Hey everyone
