I've been unable to log in to the offical Ableton forum for months, even though i'm a paying user of Ableton.

Support either doesn't reply at all or takes at least 7 days to reply to emails.

I can never understand this sort of tardiness.

If you think about it, it doesn't make logical sense. If they had more support enquiries than manpower, then the wait time would continue getting longer.....then they need to employ more support people.

But if it's just a question of back-log, they should all stop everthing they're doing.....devs, CEO, cleaners, man the pumps and reel in the backlog. The concept of a rolling back-log that is eternally a week behind is idiotic and client-unfriendly in the extreme and show the top brass don't give a $hit about their customers.

I had the same issue. Instead of email I used username and it worked. Can it be it?

If one day I can't login, I reset my password, then change not only the password of the website I'm trying to login but the pw of my email. Faster and better than contacting support.

Also, I think there is a limitation of 2 or 3 installations per license, right? I have it installed on 2 computers so not sure about the third.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

When reinstalling/changing system, if I have concern of activation count, I always email support ahead of time. Think I asked them maybe 2 or 3 times over the years since v9, support had always been quick and friendly.

Granted not always possible, but I do think their support prioritize activation problems. It's still a mystery how they keep such a small support staff (seemingly)

From my experience, Ableton support was excellent few years ago (pre v10), but recently not very fast and less friendly than before. I haven't used support that much, but the few times I used they were OK (v10 and above).

BTW, what is the shadow ban? oh never mind! I found it! I might be shadow banned here as well :hihi:

Guys, can you tell me: is the password you use to access your account at ableton.com the same as to log in to the forum?

I don't mean optionally, i mean is it actually the same, as in: you have no choice?

I know that you need to use your forum username, not email, to log in to the forum.

If I press "i forgot my password button", it takes me to the "password reset" page.

If i press the "reset password" button, it takes to to the page to log in to my ableton.com account.

How can that make any sense?

Could you do me a favour and try the password reset and see it takes you to the same place?
