I've been waiting for Vital to come round. I've never used it - but people talk about it a lot.
I'm excited to try it.

ME, TOO! As I just mentioned on Discord, TSoM and I were talking about Vital just the other day, when I downloaded it to make some vocals for Myth. I noticed how incredible Vital is and he mentioned some amazing tracks from the previous Vital round. I missed that one. Sooooooo... Hurray! :hyper:

Is TTWT use unrestricted, like last time?

It is.

But I guess the free version has restrictions on how many ttwt you can use per day? How does that square with those who have bought the synth and have unrestricted access to ttwt?

If Richard is to be understood that way, it sounds like the restrictions are temporarily lifted?! Haven't tried it yet, but that would be very nice. Though I don't know if I will do much with that anyway. Still would be nice!

Post

The free version (and Plus tier) does place a limit on the number of TTWT requests you can make per day. Five, if I remember correctly. That does mean free and Plus users have to pace out their TTWT requests, but it's still something like 150 over the month, which ought to be plenty if you don't wait to the last minute. That's not what I was asking about, though. It is usually not allowed to scan a wavetable in such a way as to effectively be sample playback. In the previous Vital round, this was relaxed for TTWT, so it could be used for lyrics.

I think use of the factory noise samples was allowed, too. Might've been only those in free, though?

Can we use the sample osc ? If yes what is the limit:One shot, looped melodic, noises ?
12 years old PC running :Reaper;Reason;Dune;Zampler;Kontakr;Reaktor;and many others countless vst :D

there is also a difference in how many factory wavetables you get. but since it's impossible to tell them apart if you have a paid version, it's not really practical to limit everyone to only use those that come with the free version, right?

I'll be happy to supply one of my banks for this contest, if it's allowed.

Hmm, does the special rule mean I can actually use my UAD plugins this time around for mixing?

Yes, it says you can use commercial plugins in the same way you would normally be allowed to use free plugins (you must follow the usual rules about external distortion, pitching, etc.).

Damn it, now I'm having fun with the TTWT nonsense. 5 per day. I guess I'll have to wait for a while to resume this. But it's just some nonsense I'm trying anyway. Fun, though.
