Comparing Tai Chi with ValhallaRoom using similar plugin settings and a piano improv as audio input.

Hey. Are you still happy with LiquidSonics? They got the sale now... I am thinking about Seven Heaven Pro and Cinematic Rooms Pro. Should I get them as the bundle for 350 USD now?
Or maybe just take CRP for 250 USD?
I got all Valhalla reverb, also Fabfilter Pro-R2 and Super plate from Soundtoys... don't know. Do I need more reverbs..
Your thoughts will be appreciated!

I doubt you NEED any new reverb to acomplish anything. If they will help you get there faster etc. is a different matter - is it worth it depends on how much you make I guessAlexander_D wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:59 am Hey. I can only answer for Tai Chi (as it's the only one from LS that I have right now)Alexander_D wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:59 am Hey. Are you still happy with LiquidSonics? They got the sale now... that I am still extremely satisfied after 2 years.
In any case, if you cave in - do get the PRO-versions. IMHO the smaller version, except for Tai Chi lite, feel quite limited in comparison.
PS: I spent a ton of money of BF-sales already, and need other stuff more, so LS has to wait for next year, to my regret.
But it's OK as Tai Chi rocks all my sessions
... but HD Cart is waiting...

Thanks for your comment. I also was some nice Black Friday stuff... And now thinking about these... It's always hard to decide when you already got some stuff...mindnoise wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 10:35 amI can only answer for Tai Chi (as it's the only one from LS that I have right now)Alexander_D wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:59 am Hey. Only one I have is Reverberate and it is my best reverb, on every single project pretty much.
I would like more though but reverbs are expensive and once you have a great one that works for you the benefits are marginal I feel like.
I would like one of the Relab reverbs and Seventh Heaven probably though. Reverberate doesn't really do "silky" reverbs.

Nice comparison. They don’t sound like similar settings at all to me, aside from the length of the tails. Maybe it’s just how the parameters in each plugin are scaled, but although they each sound great in their own way, they sound quite different, particularly in terms of brightness and density. I have all the Valhalla reverbs and many others, but the Thai Chi is pretty appealing to and I like the demos I’ve been hearing. I really don’t need another reverb, but might have to cave for this sale.Sampleconstruct wrote: Tue Dec 19, 2023 1:59 pm Comparing Tai Chi with ValhallaRoom using similar plugin settings and a piano improv as audio input.

I've yet to hear a better, more beautiful reverb to my ears than Cinematic Rooms Pro. It's not one for special effects - use TaiChi for that, or others. My two main reverbs are CRP and my MercuryX pedal.
Those are the only two I use regularly out of all of them, with HDCart coming in 3rd, and 7HP at this point coming in never (it was my last acquisition and more to support them and also for the final discount code for the next reverb, whenever that is).
The latest algos of VVV are pretty good, though. R2 isn't good to my ears - too easily cold and metallic at its core (but better than the aweful R1).

You asked the same thing a few days ago. So why didn't you demo already ? It's free and easy to demo, the iLok code is on the product pageAlexander_D wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 11:29 am Thanks for your comment. I also was some nice Black Friday stuff... But yeah. Once you demo CRP, you will buy it

I was downloaded the demo of CRP. Compared to my other reverbs. And can't say that it's so so impressed me honestly. It's nice reverb for sure, but seems that I can do similar with Pro-R2. Maybe I need to check it again and again. Just right now the sale. It's the reason why I am asking...dionenoid wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 6:17 pmYou asked the same thing a few days ago. It's naturalistic but has a few non-naturalistic tricks. The degree to which the early reflections and tail spread out from the stereo source is configurable, plus both can modulate to a level that's certainly not naturalistic.Alexander_D wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:31 pm I was downloaded the demo of CRP. I like the early reflections in CRP, but I often prefer more creative reverbs or delays for tails. I like QRS emulations for subtle ambience that doesn't cloud the source, particularly on drums, and the new version in Logic is great. I also like QRS-type reverbs for big spaces.Alexander_D wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 9:14 pm Thanks for your comment! And what's you favorite reverb plugin?
Tai Chi is great, but for some reason I don't end up using it that much... though for rich chorus/detuned sounds it wins, imo better than Relab's Song. The new Relab Rev6000 is great too, but I'm not splashing out for the full version as I have too many reverbs already.
Cascade is really good too for weird spaces.
