I need a vst Pitch plugin

Hello, all. For my audio edition I use ocenaudio, a free audio editor. My issue with it is that (at least to my knowledge) it does not let you change the pitch of samples without doing time stretch. Which means that if i try to tune a sample it will apply time stretch too. And as we all know that is not good.
For this particular task i am still using waveosaur. I would like to use just one audio editor, so i am searching for vst plugin that allows me to change the pitch of an audio file without doing time stretch.

Preferably i would like that the plugin would do just that simple task.morphex wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 5:46 pm Are you looking for freeware specifically, or are you willing to pay for the plug-in? That will help with filtering out certain suggestions.
A plugin doing just repitching shoudl be free. I am willing to pay for a plugin if it does a little more, though.
just don't start suggesting me eventide harmonizers and that kind of stuff

Audacity does the basic pitch shift where no time stretch is applied.

You can try Pitch Shifter, which is free from Kilohearts https://kilohearts.com/products/pitch_shifter

also the kilohearts pitchshift has grain size, that means it does time stretch.

Never seen this before & after trying it I'm pretty impressed. You can hear it struggle a bit on some dynamic portions of vocals, but aside from that it's very natural sounding. Maybe some good ol' fashioned FIR lookahead could help it anticipate dynamic events. Polyverse Manipulator is my current go-to and while it doesn't sound as natural, it's a bit more consistent, though the type of pitch shifting it does can cause some unintended frequency modulation effects. Also, aliasing is pretty damn bad on Manipulator if running below 88.2k sample rate. Both of these are 0 reported latency and sound way more natural than any FFT-based pitch shifter I've heard.Audiority wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:27 pm You can try PolyChrome DSP HyperTune demo and see if fits your needs. Depending on the material you want to pitch shift there are many many ways to go. If you're doing mostly offline editing, waves' sound shifter is pretty good. There's tons of granular processors that will give you decent results if you know how to adjust their settings. Manipulator seems to be doing a form of pitch synchronous granular shifting (psola) which requires the input to have a reasonably noticeable fundamental pitch to avoid glitches. A properly set up FFT based frequency scaler will give you great pitch adjustments but possibly cost a bit of transient information. There are a few good free spectral processors that would probably do this well.
Your use case is kind of important here. All you said is that you want to change the pitch of a sample without changing its length (if I understand your post correctly). You don't say what type of samples or why they need to stay the same length or what you'll be using them for afterwards. These are all going to have an impact on which tool you use. There are lots of options though.
