I hope it fits, I had to move everything over last night to put in the 10hp module I have previously measured with another 10hp module

Oh Osmose? Yay or Nay?
Keep in mind that I could also spend the same amount of money to "Deworm 3600 children." Decisions.

It definitely looks sexy. I'm glad I didn't know about BF on that. I probably would have wanted one.cryophonik wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 5:40 am D7CD7D74-35CE-44A1-9038-26CABECE80A2.jpeg

The sale is still on and ends today! What I really love about this thing is how customizable it is and that it can easily switched between three DAW profiles right from the front panel. I use Logic and PT pretty regularly (Ableton occasionally) and it's very quick and easy to switch from one to the other. I already have it set up with mostly identical controls for all three DAWs, although slightly different because I use Logic for most of my composition/mixing and PT primarily for vocal tracking, comping, and processing so I've customized a few of the macro button assignments for each. It's so much better than trying to remember keyboard shortcut for three different DAWs and getting them mixed up when switching from one DAW to the other.ghettosynth wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 7:12 amIt definitely looks sexy. The thing that surprised me the most is how big it is! It seems bigger in real life than it appears on youtube reviews. But, the build quality is solid and the jog wheel and fader feel very smooth.

I keep trying to decide the best way to add dedicated functionality on the mixing side. This looks great for its size (or better to say, lack of requiring too much desk space).
Supposedly NI is looking at adding some dedicated mixing functionality to the mk3 series on the keyboards. I don’t know what that’ll look like. I have Push 3 and can create racks in Live, but no slider.
I think I wait a bit longer to see what becomes available, or even additional functionality gets added to the Nektar device.

Yeah, I've always liked the thought of the UF1, but the price always seemed a bit high, so I never really gave it a hard look. I've been using my iPad with the Logic Remote app, but it obviously doesn't work with PT, so I liked the idea of something that worked with both DAWs. Once I saw the sale I started watching some reviews and realized that the UF1 had way more capability and customization than I had previously thought, which triggered my GAS, and $599 later I'm really glad I bought it. I'm someone who always wants to minimize my use of a mouse and QWERTY keyboard when I'm making music, so this is a nice fit for me.elxsound wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 4:59 pmI keep trying to decide the best way to add dedicated functionality on the mixing side. Well, I went for the Osmose, so much for the deworming of 3600 children. I invite all to label me as a heartless western bastard.

The Farbshaper arrived today

It is a replica of the Moog modular filter, not the Minimoog filter, and what I listened to at Knobcon this year after meeting the owner of Synthesis Technology.
It is one of just over a hundred made- take that Bruxa owners! What do you think, should I try to flip it on Reverb for 5X the price? ($1250)

Well, as it stands you could have paid to deworm 500 children. However, if you sell it on reverb for $1250 you could then pay to deworm 2500 children. I'm not judging here, you do you.Constructed Identity wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 11:57 pm you think, should I try to flip it on Reverb for 5X the price? ($1250)

Behringer Kobol Expander with its filter all the way open/resonance at zero going through the Synthesis Technology E490 with sweeps of cupoff at : 0 resonance, 11-o-clock resonance, and about 1:30pm (and I don't think I want to go further).
