Which LiquidSonics Reverb?

A couple of years ago, thanks to this thread, I bought a few LiquidSonics reverbs. I ended up keeping: Seventh Heaven Standard, Tai Chi, and Lustrous Plates.
I don't want to get too carried away again, but I am tempted to buy one or two more given the sale and the loyalty coupons. Which one or two would be an ideal complement for the above? HD Cart or Reverberate or Illusion (as I think these are versatile)?
I know that Cinematic Rooms Professional is recommended by a lot here, but it's the most expensive and I don't think I really need it. Getting Cinematic Rooms Standard may not probably help, as I am looking for ducking feature, so I may consider Seventh Heaven Professional instead for all the additional features including ducking.

i'm in the same boat, personally i think just wait till next year and get CR pro.
i'm demoing CR standard at the moment and it sounds amazing, but i find i'm reaching for more control that just isn't there. I can't justify one more ok reverb at this time, so i think next black friday i'll buy standard with my 2 discount vouchers from Tai Chi and Lustrous Plates, then use my 3 discount vouchers to buy CR pro.
that said - after 'AB'ing CR standard with my favourite verbs, it has a depth and top end that is very special.

Seems that their reverbs are really great. I am also thinking about second emulation, but probably in the next year. At this moment I need to discover more my CRP and I am sure, that probably I can do a lot with this one reverb...

I think you cannot use loyalty coupon for the same type of plugins, so you may not be able to use CR Standard coupon towards CR Pro. Hope someone can confirm.sqigls wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 7:57 am i'm in the same boat, personally i think just wait till next year and get CR pro.

Thinking again and talking to myself, getting CR Standard may be good and probably enough if we just want that CR sound and not get overwhelmed by the additional controls, most of which we may never use.
I just bought HD Cart for cheap and Seventh Heaven Pro for a great price with all the coupons I had. I think that should be it for now. If there is an urge for one more, I will just get Cinematic Rooms Standard.Cinematic Rooms Standard Edition
Refined, simplified, but never acoustically compromised – the standard edition is ideal for rapid workflows and music mixing projects that need a world-class rooms algorithm without the advanced post and score mixing features of the professional edition.
Sharing the same reverb and reflection engines as the professional edition, Cinematic Rooms creates a convincing, pure ambience around your sources by simulating sophisticated early and late auditory cues for a wide range of realistic rooms and environments.

Not sure if the discount code of the “junior” product counts toward an upgrade. Maybe if buying the full license….sqigls wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 7:57 am i'm in the same boat, personally i think just wait till next year and get CR pro.

Definitely do it based on sound. What reverb(s) sound best to you within the ways you typically use a reverb?LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 7:21 am A couple of years ago, thanks to this thread, I bought a few LiquidSonics reverbs. “Need” is only if you’re trying to find the best reverb(s) within the above, even if you already have good ones. Is good good enough or is there better, and do you need the best for your ears?
It’s all so very subjective. So the only solution is lots of demos. Or just buy everything and hope for the best.

Good points. I will admit GAS is one of the reasons for buying them, so now it is only about remembering and finding use for them, which I hope I will.vitocorleone123 wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 3:11 pmDefinitely do it based on sound. For me: it’s too much work / I don’t have the skill to make it sound as good as something like CRP or TC. Also, I’ve found IRs to be too…. lifeless, though the Fusion IRs are the best.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 9:45 pm What about reverberate 3,why no love here?gonna test it these days,yt demos are impressive ...
Think Revererate 3 was my second reverb from them and I thought it would be the last. I tried. These days it’s collecting digital dust and never used. But that’s a me thing. I absolutely think people should deeply demo it.

Bought:
Tai Chi (full)
Seventh Heaven (lite)
Cinematic Rooms Professional
300$ using loyalty program coupons and buying in that order. Having Reverberate coupon already.
Seventh Heaven is my new daily mix reverb. Goodbye Nimbus/Reverberate/Valhalla.
Had to have CRP. Non negotiable.
Tai Chi might have been GAS. But it was just too good to pass up. That was the first one I decided I was definitely buying.
Without the loyalty coupons I would have been screwed.
Tai Chi was 87 (from 99)
Seventh Heaven was 35 (from 50)
CRP was 170 (from 250)
Saved around 80 dollars using them. Might could have saved more if I bought in a different order.

Why not CRP a daily mix reverb?mxbf wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 12:59 am Bought:

I generally mean a reverb like Pro-R or Nimbus that is more invisible but adds dimension or serves the mix in creating a natural sense of space. Seventh Heaven feels perfect for that "mix utlity" role because its small and fast, has a pre curated set of immediately very useful presets, most of which have short decay times (~1-2 second or so) which is usually what I use for stuff like percussion and vocals. It also just sounds really great compared to Nimbus or Pro-R to me.Alexander_D wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 5:17 amWhy not CRP a daily mix reverb?mxbf wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 12:59 am Bought:

CRP for me feels more like when I want the reverb to be more apparent. I feel like I reach for it more when I want gigantic cavernous hall sounds or just deep, rich impressive reverbs where I want the reverb itself to be a bit more forward to enjoy the sound of it.

Ah, OK then. Early reflections in both reverbs are simply amazing!mxbf wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 1:29 pmI generally mean a reverb like Pro-R or Nimbus that is more invisible but adds dimension or serves the mix in creating a natural sense of space. I find CRP transparent (if not adding chorus) but not invisible. It’s perfect in that regard for me. Definitely great at small spaces (including one key use by film industry: realistic small spaces). Not so much used for big ones by me. It’s great for when I don’t want the reverb to be as apparent (vs UAD 224 or MercuryX).mxbf wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 1:29 pmI generally mean a reverb like Pro-R or Nimbus that is more invisible but adds dimension or serves the mix in creating a natural sense of space. I wouldn’t throw it on everything cumulatively though.
Also, Liquidsonics makes it easy to use ERs from CRP and LRs from 7HP, for example. Just use reverbs in parallel not series when doing that, per Sean of Valhalla’s suggestion.

It's the last day of the Liquidsonics sale. I own them all but 7th Heaven. I'm still asking myself if I need it.
Of course I know I don't need it, but the gas is strong with me...
