i vaguely remember another weird 32-bit instrument one which was literally the sound of somebody's hand slapping bare skin. the interface was like rated R or X or something. I can't really remember. I didn't keep it; I deleted it pretty quickly. LOL
I swear it's not my selective memory, really LOL :D

totally weird though.
thanks for that funny list.

also some of the JackDark vsts had NSFW GUIs, various anime butts and nipples and whatnot

wondering if the cheek slapping one was related to these. the early 2000s were an interesting time for plugins...

just noticed they used the PG-rated version of GlitchGirl in the original list. the alternate version had very strategically-placed knobs and a lot less clothing.

I remember those Jack Dark ones - went for the PG versions as the others were a bit much.

I'm wondering about the difference between plugins with weird GUIs and plugins that are just strange.

That OhmForce synth has that GUI that makes it (imho) unusable, but for oddness, I think the Anechoic Room Simulator is a good example.

Dunk from (I think?) DestroyFX had very odd audio mangler that I spent far too long with mangling NWA, Britney Spears, among others

As for cheek slapping, Venetian Snares and Hecate did and entire album sampled from their, er, fun

my runbeerrun mid side headphone helper is on there. ALL my guis are weird, I'm not exactly experienced. They're not too weird, just use of photo effects programs.

The vowel filter from Delay Lama was licensed by Spectrasonics for Omnisphere. I think it's still in the current version.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

A little bit of success using the KVR search facilities indicates this was called 'SlapClap'.

Forgot about this one from Krakli. Right little noisemaker

Hopefully some dev will combine Delay Lama and SlapClap and we will finally have a plugin with the sound of one hand clapping.
