Good to know. Hopefully soon!cryophonik wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2024 4:41 amI don’t recall them doing too many teasers, but they typically announce new products a few days before release.

We'll see. I got Pro-Q 3 because it is sufficient for 95% of the EQ jobs I have to do. Within the last few years, the competition showed other things can be integrated (Toneboosters, apulSoft, Sonible, etc.), but for me, most of them are quite niche and not part of my everyday routine. That being said, I will observe from a distance and pick up the update when it's on sale. Assuming the new plugin will be an equalizer, of course.

Based off the visual representation in the image, it's Pro-Q4. The frequency spectrum and the eq curves is all I see.

I would love to obsolete Soothe.... one step closer to getting rid of iLok!xerix wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2024 2:05 am Hope they combine soothe, spiff and better eq matching and presets that emulate hardware such as pultec/dangerous bax eq etc....
I'd guess a Gulfoss-style dynamic EQ would be more likely since a few other developers (iZotope Ozone, Wavesfactory) have already replicated it. Having both Soothe and Gullfoss style functions in a single plugin would be awesome though.

I doubt they would add resonance suppression. Fabfilter always try to keep their plugin minimal in features. A soothe type setting would be too much for them. Hope I'm wrong tho.

I think you will be fine because FF has always had a good policy with a grace period for recent buyers (making it a free upgrade - and I hope this is the case for you).loctune wrote: Tue Dec 10, 2024 4:06 pm F. I just bought Pro-Q3 during BF.
Should have waited a bit longer and go for the 4.
Anyone please correct me if I’m not remembering correctly, but didn’t they also offer a discounted upgrade price for buyers outside the grace period, but within a certain time frame?
Then, there’s the dynamic discounts too.
