I confirm the interface has no issue on my setup (4k display)

im wondering reading so many MAC users having issues, sorry mates, is Vengeance not interested fixing this?
cause i read that for avery long time now, cannot believe it is only a handful of people having probs....
Well it is not unworkable in the sense that with a modern CPU you can still have a few instances running. But every other plugins I have, I don't count. With Avenger I need to be careful and bounce early in the process. This is annoying because generally, apple silicon goes very well with music production.
I suspect they just compile with optimised flag for PC and don't care to optimise for MAC...

I will still use Avenger as it is really a great synth but I won't buy or even listen to any new extension...
I switched back to Phase Plant as my favourite synth/daily driver because of that.

Feels like I've been reading people talking about CPU spikes, memory usage and all sorts of other resource problems on mac since it was first released in 2016 or 17. It's hard to believe it's still going on.

I have both a 4K and 1440p display and it's fine on both. If the text is blurry try to resize the window super slowly. The result can vary a lot.

Yeah I noticed that. Certain sizes it seems to try to scale the text and then certain sizes it actually resizes the text to a different sized font I think. I still thought it would look sharper than it does though. Not sure what "redesigning" of the interface they did in Version 2, to me it seems pretty much the same.

Avenger 2.3.1, Cubase 14pro + Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
When selecting presets from factory 2 content, sound gets muted, you can see something is going on in background, but no sound comes from synth. You can hear sound just for preview preset, after that, when selecting and clicking that preset, no sound. Other presets works fine, just from factory 2 content.
I'm not going to dig deeper than that, I have installed back version 2.3.0 and everything works just fine.

I have a feature request:

Would be great if we could set the different OSC/Layers to different Midi Channels so we can use the 4 AUX Outputs for Multitimbral setups. Maybe that's already possible, but I didn't see an option on first glance

What do those 50 multisamples contain? All Pianos or all Flugelhorns or a bunch of loops or ? We have no way of knowing if the actual sample content is something we want or need and demo videos don't really answer that question.

For the record, the main reason I would buy an expansion is to get more sample content to use in Avenger while making my own patches.

I took a chance and purchased the Synthwave 3 Expansion because it had the most multisamples listed but I have no idea what I'm getting.

Will it be 90% of stuff that I have no use for or will there be a majority of content that I do want and need? We're basically just rolling the dice without proper documentation.

If I'm disappointed in the sample content of an expansion I'm not likely to buy any other expansions so giving customers or potential customers the information they need to make an informed purchasing decision helps both the company and the consumer.

I haven't installed the Synthwave 3 expansion yet so we'll see tomorrow if I made a good choice or not. I'd like to buy more expansions but I don't want to have to rely on blind luck every time.
This has been a slight problem for me - where I buy an expansion and then realize it's mostly loops, and like full pre-made musical loops/musical sequences (Atmospherica 2, Dystopia, Melancholia). I can't use those things, or at least my brain doesn't like them and I struggle with using them in my music. I prefer playable presets, and multi-samples that I could use to create my own presets. My one critique about the expansions is that the majority of the presets have been so (well) produced that they're practically self contained songs. So as a producer, I'm sitting there thinking "well I can't use this" so I probably spend more time and energy turning the arps, step sequencers, and generative-izers, OFF for every patch. There are some presets in the Generative expansion that have macros called "playable", which turns all that stuff off with a click of one button and turns the preset into something you can play, like on the keyboard. I wish there was a button like this on EVERY preset across all expansions.

Fortunately though, the folks at support have been accommodating and have switched out some expansions for others. I do this on the day I purchase the expansion though - I demo it fully, realize it's not for me due to the above reasons, and then I ask support the same day if they could switch it out for another one. But like, you're still sort of taking a shot in the dark, cuz you're not exactly sure what you're going to get in the new expansion.

I think from now on I'll be paying closer attention to the Bartek vids before I buy another expansion. I usually just watch him for entertainment, but now I'll be closely analyzing every preset with my left brain.

I just realized you can shift the arp position forwards and back, and transpose it up and down, by pressing the arrows on your computer keyboard, and you can do it live while a MIDI note is being played. This is SUPER FUN.

Same here. I just want sample content to use in my own patches and the presets are an added bonus.

As an update on my purchase of the Synthwave 3 expansion, I am very pleased with the included sample content. There are a ton of great samples that are just what I was looking for and many are from some of the hardware I grew to love back in the day including a few from Ensoniq.

The samples layer really well with a VA Osc. Lots of fun and I've really just scratched the surface of what this expansion can bring. For the record I don't expect any sample package from any company to be 100% to my liking, that's not realistic. As long as there is enough content I do like that makes the purchase a good value then I'm happy and SW3 certainly fits that criteria.

So while this expansion has given me the confidence to purchase the rest of the Synthwave collection it was still just blind luck. I could have just as easily been disappointed based on the lack of a detailed written explanation of the sample content. If a customer is disappointed in a purchase then that's going to generate negative feelings towards the company, human nature 101. Again more product information would benefit both the consumer and the company.

So with that in mind I would still like a detailed text list of the sample content contained in an expansion and I don't think it would be that much of an effort. Certainly not as hard as making a demo video.

In my opinion it is a reasonable request for a product to have a detailed description and it's certainly not something that should be dismissed into the "distant future".

At any rate Avenger has become my favorite synth to patch and is in my top 2 all around favorite synths sound wise so I'll be using it with great pleasure for as long as I'm on this side of the dirt........... :tu:
