@Synthack - MetaSynth is definitely an awesome sound design suite.
Frantic Noise has released 200+ complex, custom wavetables recorded from an Access Virus TI synthesizer for only $15 at https://franticnoise.gumroad.com/l/zeqvn Like the other Frantic Noise wavetables, these are highly-detailed and make excellent starting points for any genre, especially Psytrance.

No problem, I'm glad that you find them interesting. This recent Frantic Noise Virus TI Wavetables pack is really cool. They know what they're doing!!highkoo wrote: Sat Jan 29, 2022 2:51 am Woo, thanks for those links morphex!
Black Octupus are great for sure.
I hate to admit this, but, I heard some wavetables from the crazy broz at Cymatics and they were indeed some crazy shit.
I guess definitely aggressive, but definitely weird and interesting.

Thanks for the mention! Indeed, these are our two wavetables pack at the moment. Quantum Fold is made for very expressive sounds. The Prophecy Analog Style Wavetables is giving all 120 flavors analog style wavetables. You'll revisit the saw wave a thousand times but each of them as a different character.morphex wrote: Thu Jan 06, 2022 2:18 amI've been experimenting with the wonderful world of wavetables myself and I think I have some cool suggestions. I would also add that quality is much more important than quantity when I'm looking for wavetables. That's why I intentionally look for more cutting-edge and modern wavetables when I'm not making them myself. I'm taking a break to prevent ear fatigue, so I might as well list some resources I've discovered over the last year. I hope you can find something that inspires you.Neon Breath wrote: Tue Jan 04, 2022 5:30 pm
Do you have any suggestions for packs/libraries of experimental wavetables? My wavetable synth is Pigments 3. When I say experimental, I mean wavetables not made for emulating classic synth oscillators but to create all sorts of weird and unorthodox sounds. Wavetables outside the box so to say.

1. Spektralisk Polychrome for Vital includes 100 presets and 50 wavetables. You can also get the wavetables for free if you don't want or need the presets. https://spektralisk.gumroad.com/l/RnKLM (https://spektralisk.gumroad.com/l/RnKLM)
2. Spektralisk Wavemorph Wavetable Collection comes with a recently updated pack of 250 excellent tables. Daniel has an amazing talent for making presets and wavetables that explore the more experimental side of synthesis. Modern, futuristic and highly recommended!! https://spektralisk.gumroad.com/l/cElOl (https://spektralisk.gumroad.com/l/cElOl)
3. Frantic Noise Essential Wavetables Vol 1 & 2 offers some pretty extreme examples of the fun to be had with complex tables. https://franticnoise.gumroad.com/l/dtavn (https://franticnoise.gumroad.com/l/dtavn)
4. Databroth Wavetables Pack was recently updated to include 250 well-designed wavetables that are great for dirty basses and leads. Some of them are also nice for making atmospheres and special effects. https://databroth.gumroad.com/l/oqadV (https://databroth.gumroad.com/l/oqadV)
5. PsyTables by Dadda Vol.1-3 is a great bargain for some truly twisted wavetables, especially Vol.3!!. They are at 2048 samples per frame and in WAV format so they can be used in practically any wavetable synth. Excellent raw materials for creating some of the strangest sounds. https://dadda.gumroad.com (https://dadda.gumroad.com)
6. Futurephonic Xeno Freqs Future Wavetable Collection by Virtual Light comes with 206 excellent wavetables sorted into twelve different categories. I've been using this expertly-crafted pack in various synths such as Hive 2, Serum, ANA 2, Dune 3.5 and Vital. I reach for these when I want to push the limits of my imagination because of the intricate detail that's been cooked into these wavetables. @FractalSounds - Your team has released some excellent wavetables and preset packs that fit nicely in the styles of music that I've been making over the last year! Are you able to share any details about what else you've been cooking up for 2023?
As a suggestion, KORG's Wavestate and Modwave synths (both the hardware and native plug-ins) have been very well received. I love designing my patches for the Modwave using the plug-in on my iMac and then transferring those over to the hardware via USB for a hands-on experience.
The amazing on-board KAOSS Pad is an absolute blast to play with! It's so expressive and reminds me of the fun I used to have back in the day with an original KAOSS Pad controller. I'd love to see some of your signature styled Cinematic or Psytrance presets for either synth, but especially the Modwave.
I wish you another successful year and I look forward to any new software releases. Peace!!
