Make sure that you have installed the Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Version:

Scroll down to the table that contains DL links and DL the one that is appropriate for your configuration.

Thanks for your help. I managed to get GR-8 working by following your instructions and installing manuallly.

Issues detected:
1 - Trojan alarm by Windows 11
2 - Installer was unable to create directory.

I've done that. I did a full search of the drive and discovered an extra version of the plugin tucked away in another folder, but it still doesn't show up.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with the plugin installation.

Is it possible that your anti-virus blacklisted the plugin and now prevents it from execution? Is that Windows standard anti-virus or a third party one?

Have you tried to rescan plugins in your DAW?

I even can not download the file right now (on Windows 11, Microsoft Edge)
It's giving me a virus alert. Normally I can ignore and download anyway, but not this time.

Let's try clean VST3 export without the installer to narrow down what's triggering the virus warning:

Since everyone is reporting the virus warning, I've reuploaded the plugin, without the installer this time. Hope that'll work!

Nice new presets and mouse scroll in the preset list is really helpful!

Hey guys,

I downloaded the latest version of Inno Setup, which I'm using to make installers. The previous version I had was at least 3 years old. Maybe that was the issue.

I exported a new installer and uploaded a test ZIP archive here:

Can someone please try to DL it and see if it triggers the virus warning?

I've tried it myself and it DLs without a problem, unlike the previous ZIP archive.

Try this if you already didn't:

• DL the latest upload.

• Delete everything GR-8 related from your VST3 folder.

• Copy the whole GR-8.vst folder to the VST3 folder.

• Rescan plugins in Studio One.

GR-8 has been updated to v1.3.0:

Added:

• VST3 version for Mac (per request).

• 40 new presets.

• EQ controls on the Frequency Analyser (per request).

• (Pre) Delay control to the Reverb (per request).

• Mouse scroll to the Presets list.

Updated:

• MIDI 1.0 to MIDI 2.0.

• Voice modes to support MIDI 2.0. In case you hear strumming like effect on previously created presets, switch to Mono mode, then back to the desired mode, and overwrite the preset.

• Arp to support MIDI 2.0.

• Preset browser layout: Randomize Synth & Effects icons are moved from the dropdown menu for faster access (per request).

• Increased clickable area for knobs (per request).

• All the graphics are hi-res now.

• Audio engine optimised for better CPU usage.
