Most people get a Jazzmaster for the jangle. Humbuckers are not exactly known for that, even when coil splitted. Putting humbuckers on a Jazzmaster seems like a strange move from Fender, which I doubt would have been very popular. I guess that is why it ended up in the sales bin.thecontrolcentre wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 11:56 pm Sounds great to me, but I don't have any experience with "the typical Jazzmaster pickups" What's the difference? The humbuckers have plenty of bass, and a nice "rounded" sound, the single coils (coil tapped) really cut through. They remind me of my Fender Telecaster.![]()
But good for you if you like that look and don't really care for the Jazzmaster sound.
This video shows what Jazzmaster pickups sound like.
