That is absolutely gorgeous sounding! I really love this synth. I haven’t tried using recordings of acoustic instruments yet. I’m still working with vocals. But MYTH is able to turn even sub par audio into fascinating keys and pads. It’s so much fun to work with. That’s an awesome example Simon! 8)
Thank you, Myth really excels at resynthesizing acoustic instruments, preferably recorded totally dry and without unwanted noises, resynthesizing reverb in Myth doesn't really sound good, HALion is much better for that.

^ I swear that this is one of the most exciting and fun synths to work with. Your demo videos sound like short movie or video game scores. The patches sound so complex and mysterious. They also sound like big budget soundtracks, which is a genre that MYTH really excels in.

Thank you :phones:
I agree on the excitement factor, with each new patch exploration begins anew and one can build on the experience gathered in previous patches, find new timbral nuances and module combinations. I slowly begin to wish for a third Iris though :ud:

That sounds really good! Starting around the 50 second mark, it reminds me of the grittiness and the dark, industrial soundscapes of various NIN records.

Depending on the sound sources used for re-synthesis, MYTH really shines in both lighter and darker styles of music. That’s why I’ve been using it so much. It’s seriously addictive, but in a good way.

Your demo is a perfect example of how expressive this synth can sound. And I’m really impressed with the first batch of patches from Hacked Mythology. Happy new year Simon. Cheers! :tu:

Thank you - Happy New Year to you!
Some patches just impose themselves on me to become morphable so that the user finds a pure/acoustic version and with the turn of a few Macros gets a totally new, electronic, gritty, fat derivative which only faintly reminds of the original - and MYTH with all it's sound shaping options excels at that technique.
