I don’t understand this screen. Does this mean I can pick another 3 instruments and also. If I drop my subscription do I get to keep these?

Yes to both questions. I maxed the number of "Play 4 Life" licenses (10) during the time I susbscribed, and since what remained wasn't interesting and Roland Cloud appeared to be death (the future proved I was right) I cancelled my sybscriuption, and I just kept my "Play 4 Life" licenses (that's what "FOR LIFE" means in any dictionay).cyberheater wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:16 am I don’t understand this screen. Bear in mind that you'll have to keep your Roland Cloud account, keep Roland Cloud Manager installed, and login periodically (once every month, if I'm not mistaken) since it's the only authorization method Roland uses. Lame, but it is what it is.cyberheater wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:34 amThank you so much.fmr wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:20 amYes to both questions. I don't get why Roland seemingly put a limit on the number of Lifetime Keys a customer can get from a Cloud sub (I suppose there's no such limit on Lifetimes Keys bought separately?).

Is there a list somewhere that shows what updates there have been to whichever RC synths? It just seems that they are very few and far between.
The XV-5080 is only at version 1.0.4 and was released 5 years ago.

Roland announce their updates here: https://www.rolandcloud.com/news/Examigan wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:21 pm Is there a list somewhere that shows what updates there have been to whichever RC synths? It just seems that they are very few and far between.
The XV-5080 is only at version 1.0.4 and was released 5 years ago.
XV5080 v1.04 was announced 7th August 2023, which is when they added native VST3 Apple Silicon support. (https://www.rolandcloud.com/news/we-ve- ... nstruments )
Unfortunately the Apple Silicon version suffers CPU “spiking” on some processors when in real-time mode (track armed). CPU use will sometimes hit 100% for no apparent reason. Anyone using Cubase might want to check the latest version v14.0.10, as this appears to reduce the frequency of the “spikes” here. Leaving a track unarmed (with ASIO Guard enabled) should also stop it from spiking.
It would be nice to see a proper fix issued from Roland Japan, for this, though.

Thanks, I meant it was originally released 5 years ago, and that Apple Silicon update you mentioned was 16 months ago. I use a PC, so it doesn’t really do anything for me.PAK wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 11:54 pmRoland announce their updates here: https://www.rolandcloud.com/news/Examigan wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:21 pm Is there a list somewhere that shows what updates there have been to whichever RC synths? I think they should have all the updates for each synth listed in the RCM, similar to the Arturia software center.

What is it you want it to do or fix though, beyond the short-name bug?Examigan wrote: Fri Dec 13, 2024 12:01 amI meant it was originally released 5 years ago, and that Apple Silicon update you mentioned was 16 months ago. I use a PC, so it doesn’t really do anything for me.
Roland Cloud are at the mercy of Roland Japan - who appear to be ignoring them, given they don't seem to be willing to allocate much, if any, coder time for their software outside of the hardware schedule those same coders are also likely working on.
Roland Cloud itself doesn't seem to be able to change the code for much outside of the Cloud Manager and Galaxias.
I agree that they should have the release notes, beside each download, in the manager.

I would just like basic updates to make things easier to use, and some more features, etc. The browser would be a good place to start.
