Thank you very much.. will check! So, no reason to have them both? (Once again - already have CRP from LiquidSonics)jtsterays wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 7:35 pm480 for sure. Go to the routing tab in LX480 and choose the last one then tweak different settings for A & B. You will get some of lushest reverb ever that 7HP just can't compete.Alexander_D wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 7:30 pmAnd Early Reflections in CRP are incredibly great!jtsterays wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 6:51 pmRelab emulates the VSS6.1 algo (surround only but converted to stereo). TC native only have the VSS3 and 4 algos. But yeah for realistic reverb CRP still has an edge here.bmanic wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 6:45 pm If you want algorithmic but realistic, then Cinematic Rooms Pro is very hard to beat. And if you want the TC System 6k stuff, then why not buy it from the actual company who made it? Not sure if it's on sale any more but it was just a few days ago still.
U-He Protoverb is amazing as a creative thing where you just randomize things a bunch of times (or after a while you learn how the underlying seed system works) and get some awesome to absolutely whacky results!
BTW. Seventh Heaven or Relab 480?![]()
Best reverbs !?

Imo CRP is on the realistic side and LX480 is on the vintage style, 7HP is just stuck in this awkward middle where it doesn't really excel at anything. It's tail is too boring for effect usage and worse at being transparent and give a sense of space like CRP, LX480 could probably do a better job at that if you engage the Rhall HD mode. This is just my opinion of course because lots of people love 7HP and the Bricasti is legendary status and I didn't test 7HP for long.Alexander_D wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 7:39 pmThank you very much.. will check! Cinematic Rooms Pro ? I do not own, but I guesscomfortablynick wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 5:52 pmI haven't demoed REV6000 yet so I'm going to give it a spin. I'm curious if it will give me anything over Cinematic Rooms Pro. It seems like they are supposed to be the same type of reverb.
It based on the legendary TC Electrionic System 6000
TC have also their own plugin VSS4 HD
Relab and TC doesn't sound the same, both are based on a différent hardware revision.

The TC plugin is still on sale for $129, but some are saying it's a different algorithm. Maybe I'll try it but I think CRP and Stratus cover this type of sound pretty well.bmanic wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 6:45 pm If you want algorithmic but realistic, then Cinematic Rooms Pro is very hard to beat. Which good spring and plate reverbs are there in 32-bit VST2 or VST format?
About the options I already know:
I know about Pulsar Primavera (I use it in the 64-bit world - lots of fun) and various Fuse Audio reverbs, but these two brands don't run in my host because of a small programming mistake in the host.
I have Soundtoys v5.3.2 (the last 32-bit version) and really like Little Plate, but would like to get hold of an earlier version or an alternative because that version of Soundtoys seems heavier on my rusty host than any other plugin series; in larger projects they sometimes don't load.
Softube Spring Reverb sounds too mushy for my taste and has very few options.
Eventide Spring sounds nothing like a spring reverb to my ears.
I hope the last resort isn't Waves because while they have a great legacy lineup still available for Windows, getting it to run on a modern PC is tedious because of some shell stuff.

i have a lot of reverbs and for dark ambient my favorite is Eventide Blackhole but i decided to try to get similar results(smooth, large, eternal) with other reverbs, similar results i was able to achieve with much cheaper reverb, it flies under the radar but it is high quality, it is the Audio Damage Eos 2

Black Rooster Audio is a good dev with some spring and plate reverbs that still does 32 bit I think. You could demo them and see what you think. Every once in a while they have a super deep discount on their plugins. I got the whole bundle for like $50 some time ago
