I've tried a few sample managers, namely XO, algonaut 2, and the ADSR player. theyre mostly drum focused, except ADSR but that one was kind of buggy in my experience. I'm looking for something new. What sample manager are you using these days?

Sampleism is my choice, but I haven't tried Sononym which looks really cool. I also think organizing your folders on your OS can really help too

Err if you say so I guess.. The dev removed the forums from the site about 3 years ago, having disappeared from them shortly before. Aside from coming out of nowhere one day to silently add the note on the support page over a year ago about it being ported, no one has heard a word out of Iced Audio since 2021. And no, it's not 'silicon-compliant' it's still an Intel app.Weasel-Boy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 10:45 am AudioFinder is still being actively developed and is silicon-compliant. Why would it stop working?
If I missed some big news announcement, show me where its at cause all the other browser/managers suck heh.

I stand corrected and apologize. He killed the forum and the last version was indeed non silicon-compliant (according to Archichect) and no development since July of 2023. Jeez...it's too damn bad. I guess I keep using it til it dies and then look for something else. I've been using AF since the original release.

I have enjoyed the demo, tried most of the managers and think Sononym is the best. However, I have been waiting two years for them to do a sale

They have a sale each year. Right now they have one (until 13th Dec.) according to their website. You have to apply BLKPRICE24 as a coupon code manually for a 50% discount.Morty-C-137 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 10:49 pmI have enjoyed the demo, tried most of the managers and think Sononym is the best. I thought this to be pretty strange because Richard was a really active hands-on developer. So I tried writing him through his site’s support area. I asked if had given up on AF and he said he was real busy working on an AI generation project and will get back to AF soon.
So I guess it’s wait and see.

Yeah back when the forum was still up and alive, he kind of bowed out for awhile towards the 'end' and would only pop up once in awhile. I think this went on for a few months, there was some theory that he had gotten hired by someone (I vaguely remember someone claiming Twitter at the time), and was either busy with his new job, or possibly went to work for someone developing a similar product and couldn't work on AF anymore. I dont think anyone really knew and he didnt say much about it when he did show up. I still occasionally check the website to see if the front page ever gets updated, I was rather shocked when I happened to see that update from July 23 that he was still working on it. I'm just glad it still works, even under the latest Sequoia. Of all the sample browsers, that one is still the best for me. The way its put together is just so quick to browse through my crap, look at keys/tempo/etc, and when I need to set a loop or edit something just double click, there is the editor, BAM..Weasel-Boy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 11:11 am I thought this to be pretty strange because Richard was a really active hands-on developer.
