My first patch in Synestia, using euphonium swells (VSL) as input signal, video starts dry.

Well that's awesome!Sampleconstruct wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 4:56 pm My first patch in Synestia, using euphonium swells (VSL) as input signal, video starts dry.
I love how metallic you can get with just about any source.

Yeah, it can sound similar to cymbal and gong sounds, the resonators in Synestia belong to the best I've heard.kraster wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 7:26 pmWell that's awesome!Sampleconstruct wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 4:56 pm My first patch in Synestia, using euphonium swells (VSL) as input signal, video starts dry.

I admit that I’m completely addicted with Synestia after spending two days bending and abusing the plug-in to create some truly unique soundscapes and rhythmic patches. The resonator is a really strong component and the layout is nice on the eyes.
I do wish that it included a few more exotic effects to choose from. But overall, this is a great multi-effect with a really nice implementation and design. I expected it to use more CPU than it did on my Intel iMac, and it soars on my MBP with an M3 Max processor. I’m a happy camper!!

I hear you on the extra effects. A simple convolution reverb/IR loader and some kind of granular pitch shifter would round things out nicely.morphex wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 11:14 pm I admit that I’m completely addicted with Synestia after spending two days bending and abusing the plug-in to create some truly unique soundscapes and rhythmic patches. Where it really gets it right is the implementation of modulation and routing. You can get really specific and refined with both. More so than any other multifx I’ve used.

Have you used Rezonator by Xynth audio?Sampleconstruct wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 7:33 pmYeah, it can sound similar to cymbal and gong sounds, the resonators in Synestia belong to the best I've heard.kraster wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 7:26 pmWell that's awesome!Sampleconstruct wrote: Sat Dec 14, 2024 4:56 pm My first patch in Synestia, using euphonium swells (VSL) as input signal, video starts dry.

Cheap as chips and can be polyphonically played via midi. Up to 6 notes.
You can also save chord states and move between them. You can also add glide to the movement. It's pretty basic compared to something like Synestia but very focused and works really well.

Damn, that’s effing brilliant!! I’ve listened to it 3 times on my phone, and once on my monitors. That patch really shows the outstanding types of resonant effects that Synestia can produce. Vocals are the next thing that I have to try because that sounds phenomenal. Awesome video Simon!Sampleconstruct wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 12:31 amNo, but it's worth checking out, thanks for the link.Have you used Rezonator by Xynth audio?

Is there much control over the resonators quality?

What do you mean by quality ? There are many parameters that can help you mold the sound

often resonators can be set to various materials like glass/bells/metal plates/wood etc Do the resonators in Synestia have that sort of variability? I am trying the demo but not getting what I hoped for - early days tho hence the questionp1afff wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:26 amWhat do you mean by quality ?
