For me it is probably Rob Papen's Albino, though I am not sure it counts because it is a re-release. I had the og boxed version on CD (also Blue). Second is probably Zebra 2. I think I still have a photo of my long-sold Alesis Ion with the printout of "replaced by Zebra 2" sign (or something like that) on it that I sent to U-He to get a discount back in the day.

Hive. Sounds great and eats close to no resources. Literally hundreds of instances can run on my new system. The sounds stun me again and again. Many quality presets. My go to synth for more than 10 years.

I recently added Sylenth 1 and Zebra legacy to my collection. Both sound great and will definitely be getting plenty of use

z3ta+ v1.5.3. One of my forever projects uses this one patch which just doesn't sound the same in z3ta v2. Not that latter would be that new either, lol. I never really got into v2 anyway and would probably still rather use v1 if needed.

I don't really consider that "old," but I guess I'm showing my age? (And I can't believe it's been around 10 yrs)whassup wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 12:19 am Hive. Do new versions count? Usually it's necessary for system compatibility anyways.
So if so then Reaktor (V4) and Kontakt (V1). They were my first VSTs/AUs 21 years ago. Now using V6 and V8 respectively.

The release notes say:
June 1, 2015
Hive 1.0 (revision 3514)
Initial release
So almost 10 years then. Still the oldest plugin that I am still using.

Oh yeah, good memories. Gotta contact Rene for a copy of that one. Was lost in all kind of life's adversities.subterfuge wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 6:55 pm z3ta+ v1.5.3.
