You can absolutely do all that stuff in Reaktor, no problem. Fairly easy to have lookup tables if you need an exact mapping between 0-100 and specific integer or floating point values.

...But i guess Reaktor is not quite precise and sufficient for implementing internal paremeters of TG77 as a REAKTOR .ens

I have no idea how you came to that conclusion but you couldn't be further from the truth , noobness perhaps ?
And as evil dragon said , you can store in tables

Maybe it's of interest to some here. The author of the x.factory librarians published what he knows about the Yamaha file formats. https://github.com/DerekCook/YamahaSynt ... /main/SY77

I'm going to temporarily stray a little bit off topic... I keep hearing lots of people saying the FX sections in the SY77 and TG77 aren't very good. If I switched off the FX on my SY77 and patched it into a Yamaha SPX990, would that be a big improvement?
(I don't have an SPX990 available to test this, but I have considered getting one.)

Yes. SPX990 is a great reverb. I even liked it more than the SPX2000.

You could try the V-90 Symphonic vintage Symphonic Effect Plug-In.

They have some interesting information to read:
Paul Neyrinck discovered another mystery. The SPX 900 and SPX 990, successors to the SPX 90, don’t sound as good. The SPX 900/990 increased the sample rate to 44.1 kHz. But the symphonic effect did not get ported correctly to the higher sample rate. The modulation sweeps less by 30%! Needless to say, the effect lost some of its original vibe. V-90 Symphonic is faithful to the original SPX 90 symphonic effect at all sample rates.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

I for one love the effects in my tg77 , they have character and some get the job done (chorus , flanger , delay etc... ) .
If I want better I use the less crappier ones in my a4000 , or use plugs

Just for fun and to show that with the correct feedback implementation reaktor can come really close , I really don't want to hijack the thread
Here I tried to match the operator output as close as possible and the feedback gain coefficients .
1 feedback enabled modulator into carrier , showcasing feedback values 5-6-7
Each clip contains : 4 notes played on synth A ,the 4 notes played by synth B
One is ops7 , the other is reaktor
Can you guess which one is reaktor ?

I have had all of the Yamaha rack effects from this era at one time or another and SY77 and TG77McLilith wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2024 7:55 pm I'm going to temporarily stray a little bit off topic... The effects on the SY/TG77 are from the same family for sure but more stripped down. The SPX90 or SPX990 are improvements in some ways but not as "low-fi" in a good way in others
Are you handy at all with a soldering iron? If so rather than getting a SPX990 take a look at the Yamaha GEP50 instead. It's a budget half rack unit that came out a few years later but is still in the same family
I think Yamaha deliberately made them sound crappier than they needed to do as to not compete with their more premium effects and installed total dog crap noisy opamps
If you swap out the opamps it becomes a pretty killer unit and you can often find them for peanuts. Is it a Lexicon 480L or Eventide? No but it holds it's own against the SPX 90 and has the symphonic effect that sounds so good on FM
They get ignored and can often be found for way cheaper than an SPX90 or SPX990. They also take the standard Yamaha 12 Volt wall wort power supply which can easily be found and replaced with a new aftermarket unit

Try the demo alongside the Kilohearts Chorus. I was able to get pretty much the same sound.Aloysius wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2024 9:38 pm You could try the V-90 Symphonic vintage Symphonic Effect Plug-In.

I didn’t really know about either of those, so I looked them up online. I see that less expensive one was made for guitar. Maybe the opamp noise was less noticeable when used with a guitar than with a synth or other instrument?IvyBirds wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 12:23 amI have had all of the Yamaha rack effects from this era at one time or another and SY77 and TG77McLilith wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2024 7:55 pm I'm going to temporarily stray a little bit off topic... Sorry, this is true of the earlier SPX's, not the 990, but this is terribly OT so we can discuss it in a different thread.IvyBirds wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 12:23 am Are you handy at all with a soldering iron?
