How can Massive X be "complicated to use"? It's powerful, but not too complex, especially if you use the default routing setup - two oscillators and one filter, very straightforward modulation, not many exotic features. But maybe I use it for so long, that I don't see the problems with it anymore.

What’s everyone’s favourite filter in Massive X. I like the default one but Svf is also really good for poly. Does it mean to emulate SEM?

I think you meant 1.4.5. I got a bit excited there for a second.

Even with the default routing it is more complex than say the OG Massive.Stirner wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2024 4:48 pm How can Massive X be "complicated to use"? The macros, steps etc are not as simple as in massive, to setup and program.
The oscillators are also very deep and have a lot of non obvious controls. These definitely need a bit of reading the manual to fully get your head around.
Also 'simple' things like unison are also not as intuitive as they could be.
That said, yes if creating from scratch or deep diving, it can be complicated. But if just wanting to tweak presets or otherwise keep it simple, yes the UI is fairly straightforward for most basic things.

But we probably need a 1.5.4 update already if not higher.
A significant update is due next year as per NI forums.

Massive on the other hand has got a scalable user interface, which is quite appreciated. It looks the GUI gets blurry with bigger size, though.
Both are now Sequoia compatible, but I think there was no problem with it anyway.

They managed to make the update worse lol
Now it takes 10 seconds for the first instance to load, and 4 seconds to display/load each subsequent instances, everytime i switch. (in ableton)
Last patch it was less than a second for me^^

Thanks for mentioning that, hadn't installed the update yet and will skip it now.Daru925 wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2024 12:32 am They managed to make the update worse lol
