Yes, it is already in my list of MPE hardware synthesizers.

Some interesting development videos of a potentially amazing synthesizer:

And now on Youtube there's a couple of demo videos from Superbooth. One thing I like about virtual analog is unison without losing polyphony and it seems their DCO can emulate that. I'm curious how far this goes, for example in their dual-oscillator "engine", can the second oscillator be independently tuned.

The Redshift 6 sounds impressive...

Post

Not sure about the design (toning down the chassis colours and having rectangular buttons would help), but it sure sounds interesting! Liking 6 voices with 6 outs. Keeping an eye on this.

Some nice presets in this new video from 4'38"

Post

I see Redshift 6 has finally had an official release. Although, the current firmware seems to be beta...

Sounds from Starsky

Post

Preset run through from Starsky. Still keeping an eye on this even though it's far from a finished product.

I know I shouldn't judge a synth from presets (UBXa is a prime example...awful cheesey presets but a far more capable synth hidden away). But those presets make Redshift sound awfully ho-hum IMO. Great for supersaws, if you're stuck in the 90s I guess. The sync sounds OK and the filter drive at least can add some character, but it seems like a vanilla filter to me. Nothing whatsoever that wowed me that I can't do on any number of other synths I use. And this is purely subjective, but the interface doesn't attract me either. Reminds me of some Waldorf synths - menu-diving with small number of token knobs, kinda nice look about individual items that could be classy but not cohesive or user-friendly. At first glance it doesn't compete well with, say recent Korg VAs or even those awful Roland rehashed jobbies. Hexagonal buttons aren't enough to sell a synth. It makes me think it's a yesterday's synth beefed up with more voices...

Revisiting this to see what progress had been made, and I was pleased to learn Supercritical have delivered on the roadmap — multitimbral's now supported. Always sounds great in videos. GAS is building!

Firmware 1.6 is now out featuring a polyphonic 6 track sequencer. Given this was already pretty impressive I have to say I am now very tempted to buy one…Edits- ordered one! They stuck to their roadmap of adding (promised) features and it’s pretty much complete now (I think the only button that now needs a feature is ‘maths’ and that’s coming next month), there list of what they have planned for 2026 looks very exciting- time to jump om board!

X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Had a day with it now- upgraded to v1.6- very very impressed, people need to re-review/re-look at this now its pretty much done, great sound, really interesting with the 6 layers and sequencer.

I'd love to hear some of your patches, or even 3rd party patches of the more experimental nature, or at least non-cheesy...

The demo's online are awful! The synth feature set looks interesting, yet the sounds it appears to ship with are 90's trance
