After many requests I finally have given in and created a bundle of my first 5 banks. This includes: Bread n Butter, Morpheous, BnB2, Classic Moog and Textures. That's 384 presets and 41.8 megs of waveforms for only $49 USD. That's $10 off the purchase price if ordered individualy.

Classic Oberheim 1 will be availabe bundled in Feb with the other two yet unreleased CO banks.

I've been meaning to get some of your stuff.

You might want to advertise that deal in the Marketplace forum too...

Got mine since yesterday.

whaoou, marvellous things in that 6 banks !
Daniel, you're a very good sound designer, i never think Rhino could sound like it, even if i know that Rhino can do excellent things.

if you hesitate, go for it, you won't regret !

daniel, will there be a obi bundle ?

Post

Yes. All three banks will be available bundled together for $30 by Feb 1st. They were made available seperately so people wouldn't need to wait soooo looong between banks. Plus, the size of the files was a factor (all the samples), considering those on dial-up connections.

daniel,
i can't imagine that you're getting rich by doing all this work at these prices, so maybe it's time again to let you know how much i/we appreciate what you're doing.
thanks a lot.
picked up the 2nd obi bank and continued excellent work.
revisited textures the last few nights and blown away again.
thanks.

Yes. Some presets in this ob2 bank can certainly compete on stage with long-haired, guitar wielding metal guys. Who would have bet this smooth, ambient atmo synth could produce such screaming leads ?

great stuff daniel!

rhino users: these are NOT to be missed!! I've got them all (in fact these are the only presets I've ever bought), but didn't realize that CO2 was available already! Off to buy it now, I guess i know what I'm doing tonight :D

thanks 'Tick & Daniel, your skills are incredible, and result in me turning to Rhino more and more, instead of trying to choose what VSTi I want to use. sweetness

No need to demo them - purchased and downloading now. I agree with Muff Wiggler there is a quality about Rhino, and particularly when loaded with Daniel's excellent sounds, that sets it apart.

I've been using Classic Moog and Textures for awhile and recently Oberhiem 1, all of which are fantastic.

$49 is very reasonable. Daniel's patches are part of the reason people buy Rhino 2. Even if they feel threatened initially, they have so many great free patches and additional premium patches that essentially change Rhino 2 into classic synths that can not only be used directly, but have added appeal for their unique and excellent sound.

Daniel has mastered Rhino 2 in a way few artists do. I know it sounds like a commercial but it's true and he deserves the praise.

The amazing thing is more and more Rhino keeps evolving which is thanks to 'Tick, but also because of users and quality patch designers like Daniel.

Hope you sell a bunch of these bundled patches. I never heard the Morpheus bank. Is that like the Emu Morpheus? If so, I'd love to hear that, I had a Morpheus and miss it though I still have a Ultra Proteus that works quite nicely.

I hadn't heard of the "other" Morpheous until after my bank was released. So the two probably have no resemblance.

My Morpheous grew out of the idea of wanting to assign multiple parameters to a single user slider in positive and negative values. After 'Tick made this possible I went wild programming and that was the result. A single slider controls several different values so that huge, morphing sounds are possible. Morpheous is still my personal favorite bank.

x_bruce,
you really have to pick up Morpheus
a little automation and it's a real wonder
Daniel has done an incredible job of combining controls to a few sliders for great sounds and control

it's hard to pick my favorite rhino bank but Morpheus is up there in the top two or three

too late for me to go for the bundles
but i'm glad to read that more is on the way

Daniel,

I just downloaded Morpheous and noticed this in the readme file:

This bank requires Rhino v.1.09 or higher and the "addon-1" wave set.

I'm using v.2.0.3, but don't see the addon-1 wavs in any folder in Rhino 2. Given how easily I miss the obvious, please point me in the right direction.

I really need to update that ReadMe!

When Rhino 2.0 came around the "addon-1" file was included into the new file named "rhino.vfs". This included new waves in addition to the old .vfs file. This was explained at release time and I have forgotten to update it. I really shouldn't expect people to know that at this late date! I'll update those files soon.

Rhino 2.03 is the latest update and is required for the most recent banks. Banks created with older versions of Rhino will open in newer versions. However, newer creations will not open in earlier versions.

Thanks for pointing out this inconsistency.
