It sounds very pleasing in sweet bright way, as I said previously, perfect for pop and uptempo synthwave. But for more darker stuff, I think the Trigon or other sequential synths would win out.

Yeah Trigon has thicker low mid cream and more grit, fuzzy nostalgic Boards of Canada feel

These two clips i did recently are a good example

Sounds nice, price is good too (tho I won't be buying it)
How original

I was interested in the Muse but after reading about all the Bugs and Other issues i decided not to get it and i am happy that i waited so i didn't have to end up as a Alpha tester for a expensive Synth with issues that might not get fixed before it gets discontinued like the Moog One.

The 128+128 presets locations is budget synth feature in a high end price tag.

If they fix so usb A port can be used to save/load as many banks and presets as you want to a memory stick, it would change things in this regard.
- manual suggest being able to attach an external drive
- both Take5 and Teo5 have 256 and you can also overwrite factory ones as one entity meaning 500+ total of your own, without needing slow sysex usage.
- but Muse need firmware features to load and save to memory stick then
- manual does not reveal anything like that

I liked how my first synth Casio CZ1000 handled memory cartridge
- a button to activate external cartridge
- then preset buttons selected each preset as on internal memory

On any synth to have this, and also be able to select many banks on external storage would make storage moot and you don't even have to think about that looking at synths of interest.

But really serious if Moog have issues bugging people.

You can also buy the Soundtower editor/librarian for these (and every other current Sequential synth) for a reasonable price, which allows you load and save presets and banks to and from your computer, manage how they are stored on the synth, rename and tag patches, morph patches, etc. This gives you basically unlimited storage of presets, not to mention access to every parameter for deep editing and automation. Nothing like that exists for the Muse AFAIK.

Thanks, not sure either. Manual states nothing about "dump" or "system exclusive" so might be a separate manual for midi maybe.

I used librarians for Korg KingKorg, Prologue, Wavestate and Opsix, just connect that a couple of times a year to computer over usb to have a backup.
- protocols used are much quicker than sysex
- done in a flash

If having 500+ presets or thereabout you can focus and have fun with the instrument itself without needing a computer.
- that why I went external midi gear 10 years ago
- press a button for power and off you go

I like Sequential for how they plan their products features, and plan for making desktops from start as well.
- so hope to get something more than REV2 in the future
- and Focusrite has been very responsive in their support

Moog is in the hands of a huge coperation InMusicBrands.com now
- suddenly you need to through a stupid Google recapcha to get in contact

I had some questions about Akai Mpc X some years ago, and never got a reply even
- Akai are part of InMusic too
- but funny enough I got a survey asking how I felt about reply on my support contact that never was

First impression is often as a sales contact, how they respond.
a) don't bother us with questions, just empty your wallet to our account
b) hi there, glad to talk to you

Sequential are in good hands IMO.
