Old grumpy man on a crusade against NFR, WUP and iLok.
Poor guy, wasting his time with this negative state of mind.
Not me, my friend. I'm feeling good!. You are likely projecting. Enjoy your WUP fee and NFR purchases. And try and be more accurate - I use and like iLok.

Lol.. 3 plugins got a 'new' GUI. And they are of the Q10 horrible kind :hihi: (all my opinion obviously..)

I'll just say...my contribution to this (by asking around on every forum which plugins need to be redesigned) probably was seen by them. But good for them!

Nope, they didn't. Luckily, I didn't do that much work on those. I have been busy quite a lot lately.

I only have a couple of unreleased skins so far, but honestly without knowing how many people use these plugins and how many would want a skin of some kind just for it to be a bit better - not sure it's worth it.

Honestly, I enjoy working more with manufacturers directly. And if I had the DSP part figured out, I'd want to make my own plugins, frankly.

Waves has A LOT of users. I'm pretty sure that their Renaissance line is the most popular, though I think Waves has updated the UI for a few of them IIRC.

If you're feeling it, keep after it. You'll get there.

Dammit I actually heard that in Travolta's singing voice in my head as I read that. :x :x :x

Yeah, I bought the RenMaxx bundle waaaaaaay back and I have used several of those plugins (e.g., RenChannel, RenVox, RenBass) religiously in pretty much every project ever since. They got a much-needed UI overhaul a few years ago, which was a major improvement.

If that's what you want, and you keep plugging away at it, before you know it you will. Passion and persistence can unlock a lot of doors in life. Maybe not every day, but week in week out.

No thanks.
I just checked. I have Horizon and the bundle was pretty cheap, something about 3,50 per plugin.
Waves Diamond now is € 180 for 65 plugins, that's 2,77 per plugin! And you really complain about upgrade price 120? Really ? Are you serious?
I still use the ole blue colored Renaissance plugins, not tempted to upgrade.
Even though I used them a lot, all the sliders still slide like on the first day, no rust, no scratches, good quality

Text doesn't even appear to scale. What is Waves even doing?

Yes I am serious.

I don't want more plugins, not least ones that will increase my WUP even more in the future!

I wouldn't mind updating the three reskinned plugins for some reasonable fee but I can't.

At this rate, they'll get through their whole catalog by Waves version 55!
This is the problem I'm finding. Granted they have well over 200 plugins in their catalogue, so it's going to take some time to get to them all. But c'mon, at this rate it will be Version 55 before they're all updated like you said.

I'm just hoping they have secret drop coming up with a whole range of UI updates...V16?!?!

Yeah, I know, I'd have too be delirious to even think that.
