I am relatively new to RC and have a question / suggestion:
It is possible to define chord rules wherein you can define the likelihood of specific follow up chord in dependence of the previous chord. However, these rules appear to be based on the assumption that the scale (tonal center) of the new chord is the same as the previous chord.
Is there a way to also suggest transitions of tonal centers (i.e. new scale) for a new chord? For example in jazz standards you often have ii-7 V7 progressions wherein the V7 chord then becomes a ii-7 chord of the following progression. So the tonal center (scale) shifts up by a 4th.
Is it possible to get suggestions for pivoting into other tonal centers (i.e. how to modulate)?
So in my example I would get a suggestion to make turn the previous V7 chord into a ii-7 while the scale shifts up by a forth. I am sure there are plenty of such pivoting rules in all music styles.
If not that would be a great addition to the chord suggestion: the modulation suggestion (i.e. new scale).
Otherwise I am tempted to stay in the same tonal center all the time.
Thanks and sorry if I do not grasp the full potential of RC yet
Cheers
Jens
