Yeah Objekt is a master piece.
Very usable, very musical and it sounds absolutely great.
Even for strings, guitar, it sound awesome.
I was having a riff sample I wanted to tweak with additional notes and could do that with objekt in an indistinguishable way (at least to my ears).

I love Friktion but Objekt is even better. For percussions and mallets it is also incredible....

I can't believe this is the same people who did that beast and 1 year later.... Polytone :dog:

I like polytone to be honest, its a great synth. What device is missing in Reason is some kind of "Redrum 2" with a lot more settings - some kind of a modern state of the art groovebox. A little autopan device and a shimmer reverb would be great, too.

Polytone is an excellent VA synth! I have Objekt, Parsac, Complex-1 …etc. but Polytone is very different from all these.
It’s a good replacement for Subtractor. I really like it a lot and I would buy it if they haven’t included in v13.

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

This is one of my favourite shimmer/creative reverbs on any platform...

Well I think we all have different tastes.

The point is I have Diva, Obsession, The Legend HZ, BIT 2, Polymax.... So the value added of such a basic VA is just zero for me.

Honestly I am using almost only the legend HZ, it just sounds too awesome. Comparing in simple sounds with polytone it is quite clear difference. And obviously it is much more powerful.

Polytone is 'OK' if you just want to use Reason rack stuff and not use 3rd party VST (in the box in the box) and there are some advantages to this...but it simply isn't as good as many other VAs that many people will have, I don't think the morphing between 2 layers adds enough and I agree it was a bit to Vanilla (especially when compared to the other synths we have had from Reason lately many of which are towards best in class...Ploytone simply isn't 'one of the best' VAs)

Well, you are right of course. It is a matter of taste. But for me I like a lot a VA that has a simple UI but at the same time powerful features like osc sync and fm. Anyway, it sounds great to my ears and I love the GUI and workflow. The design is excellent, so bravo Reason Studio team for this gem :)

This one is probably the deepest Shimmer reverb on any platform (and also has a huge range of other reverb types)

Yeah, I am unsure why people are upset about it. It is a good piece of instrument. Filters alone are more polished than say Thor which isn't bad either but Polytone is excellent.

Honestly, I think any relatively simple VA launched in 2024 wouldn't get a lot of interest/love...its a saturated market with a couple of best in class options that most people use. That said, it fits the Reason ecosystem in terms of looks and use (and routing options) so it has a place in Reason. There is so much choice in Reason I have stopped using external VSTs..it forces me not to use my 'usuals' and makes me make different music and discoveries....I didn't even install VSTS on my laptop- I always sort of liked it being closedlike a hardware workstation.

My eyes hurts when I look at the UI of the two suggested RE Shimmer Verbs. No devices for me...

And I am happy that you like it... That means that it isn't a bad product, just not a product for me.

This is a very childish and superficial comment...

And I fully agree to it :D :D :D :D

I guess I am still upset at buying the v13 upgrade and understanding after 15min that I will never use it.

I just can't accept that v11 brought grains and Europa among many other stuffs and v13.... The sad Polytone....
I hope you will survive through this difficult time in your personal life
Thanks you.

You can get a refund, can't you?
I don't think so. Is it an option? I would take it immediately but I didn't find.
