I think there may be a sale but can't really expect the Pro Q4 upgrade to be in there which would really annoy all those people that have upgraded in the past week.Caine123 wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2024 9:45 am hmmm seems there wont be a holiday sale, normally it was a week or so before xmas. now i need to think if i upgrade.

uhm...just out of curiosity:
the price/offer (as customer) right now is no reduction ("intro"/"white Xmas"/whatever it might get called) whatsoever, or is it ?
so if i am of the patient kind and wait some time, say easter, valentinesday, blackfriday
there might be a chance for a sale and even bigger discount, correct ?
i'm not really in a hurry....

This resolves the bug I reported to them with the spectral mode in Cubase.hey212 wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2024 12:14 am 4.01 is available

The odd thing with Fabfilter is, at least in my experiences, you have to go around and around to convince them there is a bug and it isn't a feature or user error. I had the same issue when I reported a GUI bug on Pro Q2.
And then, when you do manage to reason with them and they see indeed there is a bug, they never followup with you to confirm the bug you reported was resolved.
Thankfully, I rarely run into a bug though.

i'm not trying to defend them but the last few days over at their forum, "bug reports" have been borderline moronic so i can understand why they have some scrutiny.VitaminD wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 4:46 am

Haven't tested it more than a few hours. But I got some weird issues with v1.0. Used it on the Main Out and it ADDED stuff in the low frequency, but every channel in my DAW was infinite quite, so it could not have amplified anything. When I selected Warm this was amplified....
also, Pro-Q seems to take more CPU even when not using the new features?
Anyone else had these experiences?

After retrying this, I have to say, UVI Shade still has by far the most precise interface, even better than Pro-Q. Also the analyzer in Shade seem to work nicer, also managing very low volume. Such a pity that UVI has no intention to improve that EQ. The dynamics mode could be heavily improved...

Fabfilter sales are not usually very big, 15-20% off at most. and not often. upgrade/intro price was 84-ish for me last i checked (their offer is dynamic depending how many of theirs you own - i only have pro-q license for 2 and 3), not sure if that intro sale is going on. list price seems to be 169e.muki wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 4:21 am uhm...just out of curiosity:

Shade is tough to compare to anything. The MSEG and filters within Shade is so well implemented. Im hopeful they wont abondon development as it has not seen a notible update.

Last couple times i went to UVI's website, it was barely working. Tried again just now and the Shade and Effects pages each took almost a full minute to load.
