M-Audio M-Track 2x2 (C-Series) - no microfon > SOLVED

The M-Track 2x2 (c-series) is recognized as audio out, but microphone in is not recognized - W10, W11, various USB ports, various USB cables.
What could be the reason for this?

It's an old interface, not in shops any more since a couple of years.
So it could simply be a defective unit.

well, 24/192, usb c,
my three Behringer have no usb c, even 2 type B

Is it just with asio, have you tested with Audacity whether it does work with wdm, mme or wasapi drivers?

I suspect you got it second hand?
Ask the seller. Either for instructions, or a refund.

Ok, I just thought that because the M-Track is recognized as a speaker output and can be used, but unfortunately not as a microphone. Thanks anyway

Thank you very much for your effort and persistence in writing down even the "simplest" things again . I just thought I had installed the right drivers. But they were the wrong ones (M-Track Duo) , the right ones (legacy) are here (in case someone finds this topic with the same problem):
