Loving the new Nexus 5 and the customisations it finally offers. A few questions that I can’t wrap my head around.

1. Is there a way to add FX groups on existing layers? Looks like they only show up for XP presets that have them.

2. Is it possible to add additional generators and layers once you already have commited to creating a new init patch? For instance, the initial plan was to create a Synthwave bass and now I want to add layers for Synths, Drums etc, i.e turn the initial idea into a sequence. A workaround would be to select an XP sequence that has all layers and edit the layers that way, but I would love more flexibility.

1. Grab the dot at the bottom of the layer and drag to a new fx group. Or, right click on the dot and select a new fx group from the menu.

2. On the routing page, right click on a layer and "add osc", right click empty background and "add layer". From layers page, use the + in the on right of each header.

@figbug, is there an update on the cursor disappearing in logic bug?

I think that was fixed in 5.1.5

I believe FigBug has said it is coming. (and of course there is a light retro mode currently).

Do the new features make it easier to create beautiful complex and evolving pads for ambient and ASMR music from the existing Nexus presets? I would be obliged for some examples/demos.

Yes you have access to many sound engines now. So it all depends on your source material. Refx gives you alot to work with even just version 5 , a ton of features and new sounds. Glorious
