My only whish , is some kind auto-gain compensation.

I would not like to be without this one.
For some reason I never found, the results I got with v2 have always been better. :?

So I'm still using it.

Indeed, it's good : it has been a 50% parallel processor in my mastering chain for years.
What do you think differs between v.2 and v.3 ?

....i have no experience with v.2

greetings :?

waves equator is pretty great; just using it a bit. and the spectral processing in fabfilter Q4 is nice. but not all resonances are bad, and, in the end, i use my ears (& drug-addled judgement) to decide what & where to fix... or not fix.

The sound seems tighter with v2 to me. Can't explain the technical between this.

That's why those tools are that hard to use. Some allow more or less to keep the harmonics you want, some simply crush everything they see according to their curve... :?

Of course, full flattening is completely stupid, in case some of you don't know. You just don't want this. You might figure this is your ultimate goal, but just try and you'll get why you'll never need it : not all frequencies are used equally in your mix, so you'll be simply mudding every useful frequency with stupid frequencies that belong to the background.

In other words, the perfect plugin flattens, but not too much, and allows you to keep what you need. Not that automatic huh ? :scared:

Another software can be added to this category now: Zynaptiq Balance. Has any of you tried it? (I haven't yet.)

The perfect plugin has a good looking interface that helps you get the job done.
Two modes: Easy and "I warned you!" modes.
Easy mode prevents you from destroying your sound. Few controls, does a lot what you desire.
Then it has that in depth mode that you can switch to for more aggressive/creative usage, the ability to fine tune the results.
The perfect plugin has a user friendly copy protection.
It has useful presets by everybody with a huge name in the industry to help the marketing even further.
Cool tutorial videos.
All this developed and brought to us by a cool company which is responsive on forums like this one.

If anybody knows this plugin I would like to know.
