I'm trying to apply and extreme reverb effect on a clip in Cubase, so as to accomplish a reverse reverb.
I duplicated the track and I only want to apply the effect to ONE clip. Well, Cubase insists on applying the effect to the other clip with the same name, even though it's on a different track.
It also won't let me rename one clip without automatically renaming it's identical clip the same name.
Is there any way to make a clip "unique" like in Studio One?
Am I not allowed to make a copy of a clip and give those two (technically the same clip) different names? Is this not possible in Cubase?
Can I Make A Clip Unique In Cubase?

Yes, you can make clips copied not associated with original.
- don't remember the term in Cubase, sorry
Dragging a clip with Ctrl or Shift or something is common to decide if associated with original or not.
- sometimes it's where on the clip you drag
Unique is not the term though, so look in manual for association or free standalone copy or similar.
- how you copied is clearly associated with original

Go towards the bottom for ''On Processing Shared Clips''
Select ''Create New Version'' or ''Open Options Dialog''
