I have many, but I like NI’s Raum, UVI Plate, Eventide SP2016, and Brainworx bx_rooMS. I can’t afford some of the ones you guys mentioned here, but I get along with what I have.

Just got UA Lexicon 224. Very different from everything I had before (including the Arturia version). Very impressed at how musical it is. If fact, I always preferred very clean sounding reverbs before. This changed my mind.

Yeah I sold off Arturia's version real quick after trying the UAD, despite the UX shortcomings of the UAD version. Helped seal the deal for me on ridding myself of all Arturia software.Igro wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 8:07 pm Just got UA Lexicon 224. The UAD 224 remains a favorite of mine when I'm wanting a "character" reverb.

You can go further with the Relab 480, the big brotherIgro wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 8:07 pm Just got UA Lexicon 224. Very different from everything I had before (including the Arturia version). And it won't sound nearly as good - or I'd have bought the 480 (I do have HDCart, which I also like better than the Relab480).Gam456 wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2024 9:40 pmYou can go further with the Relab 480, the big brotherIgro wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 8:07 pm Just got UA Lexicon 224. It's all subjective. The 480 is noticeably cleaner and is a reason some people prefer the 224, or at least very much differentiate between them.
What do you mean by "further"?

Huh ??? The 480 and 224 have a completely different sonic character. They may both be Lexicon but this is still apples and oranges. The 224 excels at very long, heavily modulated tails. Try doing the same with the 480 and it's immediately clear it's a very different reverb.Gam456 wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2024 9:40 pmYou can go further with the Relab 480, the big brotherIgro wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 8:07 pm Just got UA Lexicon 224. the 480 does not 'go further' than the 224. it's just different. but actual info is clearly wasted on you. so uh, just keep on dishing out inaccurate, crappy, misleading advice on the internet, then, I guess, definitely not enough of that going on alreadyGam456 wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2024 12:49 amLike I said the big brothermholloway wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2024 11:35 pmHuh ??? If anything, UAD’s own 480 could be a big brother to their 224, not one from a completely different company. It’s a completely different reverb. It wouldn’t be big brother, because it’s younger anyway. It’s more like little bro in that sense or sister, niece or nephew, wife’s kid from previous marriage. So what are you own about blood pressure. Also, tea increases blood pressure. So much misinformation in such small post.
Whilst you are at it get the free plate reverb from UAD as well it’s dope

So many good reverbs but I usually go for Raum. For big reverbs I use Verbum and Solaris. Right my vocal reverb is Melda Charmverb. It just sits perfectly. I also like UVI Relayer which is technically not a reverb, but can do reverb.
