Great to hear, thanks!MarioNietoWorld wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 8:23 pmHey, this is definitely on my to-do list. Once I release Chord Generator, I want to start working on a new update for HB, and one of my main tasks will be improving the preset system and management. Several users have asked me for the option to choose the location, so I’ll do my best to include this feature in the next update.Dazd_N_Confuzd wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 7:45 pm Hi Mario,
Back in July there was mention of a future update allowing presets to be stored in a custom location. Is there any update on this?
Thanks!

Hopefully he's not doing a Spectrasonics on us and forgetting about the rhythm.

Of course I tried that but even with scale mapping the results are not consistent.
Hi hats closed, pedal, open being the obvious.
Maybe multiple instances could work but messy.

I really like this plugin, but I'm a little confused about how to use it properly.
I'm using Cubase 12, and I load Harmony Bloom as an instrument, have a synth receive MIDI from Harmony Bloom, and have the option in HB to trigger from MIDI events selected.
What I'm trying to do is have it trigger notes on an instrument when a MIDI note in the piano roll is active. With Harmony Bloom selected, I can play a note on my keyboard, or even just click on a key or note in the piano roll, and everything triggers and plays properly.
But if I actually write in MIDI notes into the piano roll on Harmony Bloom's track and I hit Play, the MIDI data doesn't seem to be sent to the instrument- I get no sound. I don't see how this is different than playing the piano roll with a mouse, I assume both just produce and send MIDI data.
Is there a setting for this? Or am I doing something wrong here?
One more thing is that if I use the DAW start/stop option in HB, it's out of sync with Cubase stopping/starting - surely related to delay compensation, but I'm not really sure what the solution is...the Constrain Delay Compensation button doesn't help.
edit: regarding the first problem, I'm thinking it must be a bug, either in Cubase or HB. I removed HB from the project, loaded a new instance, set everything the same, and now it seems to be working how I would expect (the Instrument track sends MIDI data to HB, which then sends MIDI data to the synth).

To "match" the tempo with Harmony Bloom, it will depend on the parameters you're using in HB.concealed identity wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 5:26 am I really like this plugin, but I'm a little confused about how to use it properly.

I've attached a preset so you can check out a configuration that should work in sync. It's important to send a note to HB so it's triggered on the first beat of a measure. That way, the notes should align with your grid.

Hey guys! A new version is out (we’ve actually jumped two version numbers because 1.3.2 had a quick-fix issue). All the details are below. Also, I’ll be doing a 12-hour livestream tomorrow (January 16, 2025) where I’ll be creating music nonstop—let’s see how that goes!
Check out the link for the “Stream 100th - 12-Hour Live Music” special, followed by the changelog and instructions on updating Harmony Bloom to the latest version.
HARMONY BLOOM CHANGELOG:
Harmony Bloom v1.3.3 (Desktop)
Fixed: Exposed parameters now display correctly in the DAW.
Harmony Bloom v1.3.2 (Desktop)
New Features:
- MIDI Learn Enhancements: Added the ability to assign controls for Random Color action and the activation/deactivation of Spectator Mode via MIDI Learn (CC).
- Custom Preset Folder: Save your presets in a folder of your choice, automatically scanned by Harmony Bloom.
Improvements:
- Preset Manager Overhaul:
Filter presets by artist.
Descriptions added for each preset.
Faster and smarter preset search.
- Windows UI Optimization: Enjoy a smoother interface with improved rendering performance.
Bug Fixes:
- Resolved an issue where the app wouldn’t open on some Windows systems.
- Fixed: Parameters now save correctly with the “Keep On Preset Switch” option.
- Fixed: Patterns load properly when switching presets.
- Stability improvements to prevent occasional crashes.
How to Update
From version 1.2.7, Harmony Bloom auto-detects updates and offers a direct download option.
Alternatively:
Log in to your account (www.marionietoworld.com), download, and install the new version.
No account? Create one with your purchase email, then email mario@marionietoworld.com with your Harmony Bloom serial number to link your purchase.
Best Regards,
Mario
