sheesh. i really wanted to use it on my track.
oh well...
Yeah, those pesky rules, eh? :P

It would be a bit of a pain in the hoop, but it would have been possible to recreate a tape-stop effect with pitch and tempo automation. A bit late for that now maybe, but something to think about if you wanted to try that again in the future? :)

I updated my track with a new mastering and mixing, following the advice people gave me on Discord :)
Now there are also 4 instances more of Vital in order to thicken the sound, with 22 in total.

Trying a slightly different approach this month: this track was composed using Mindful Harmony and a rigid verse/chorus/bridge structure was imposed right from the start. The track was created in Bitwig Studio 5.2.7 and uses 12 instances of Vital. The following plugins were also used:

- Modalics Beat Scholar (outputting midi only)
- Modalics Eon Arp (outputting midi only)
- HorNet MultiFreqs
- NI Raum
- Eventide SplitEQ
- dpMeter5
- Blue Cat Gain 3
- KClip3
- bx_masterdesk Pro

All patches created from init. Here goes:

A quickie submission for this month's round.

Made in Cakewalk. 16 instances of Vital. epicCLOUDS, LFX-1310, OTT and W1 Limiter as the external FX.

I don't know if this has ever come up, but since there is a way to have lyrics in this months submission, I need to ask...

Any rules against political content? Should be not very controversial, but definitely from leftist/anti capitalist perspective. Nothing against any specific political personalities.

Any rules against very minor profanity?

The OSC rules are here: https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/rules

There are no explicit rules on politics or profanity as far as I know. Folks may, or may not take kindly to it, and that might be reflected in the scoring, but have at it :)

I'm pretty sure there are no submission rules about it. I'm more worried about forum rules:
Posting of any material, or links to any material (images/text/audio/video) deemed by a moderator to be pornographic, inflammatory, inciteful, racist, overtly political, illegal or generally offensive or inappropriate will result in your post being edited / deleted, and you may be issued with a warning and / or a ban.
As this project is only a priority because of the entry deadline, and I'm likely to miss it, and might be disqualified, anyway, I'm leaning toward moving on with other things and not doing a submission to KVR.

"...doing a submission to KVR."

If I thought of participating in the OSC as "doing a submission to KVR" i probably wouldn't bother myself. But I think the two have very little to do with each other, despite the OSC obviously being on KVR.

The OSC discord is a beautiful community. The KVR forum is just awful. More or less, IMHO.

Anyway, no. There's no forum rules against that. And as far as I know, in 15 years, nothing has been deleted. Disqualifications happen if it's submitted after the deadline or the participant doesn't properly vote.

Blatantly illegal entries haven't yet ever been deleted and very rarely dq'd.

OffTopic - Nerd Fun Christmas/Holiday Stuff.
I still do some experiments with protoplug / Lua from time to time. Latest addition is a PoC where I send sample data form a number of source channels to a receiver channel ...It's like the thing that Oscillos Mega Scope is doing. Bitiwg cannot do this because it does NOT support multiple Ins..
Therefore I have added LuaSocket to Protoplug to be able to send sample data via TCP/IP around. Being able to use Sockets in Protoplug might offer opportunity for some more weird stuff in the futur ;-) Anyways my PoC is already able to read two clients as you can see: The picture shows a BDR (red) and a CLAP (green) sent over to the "Server" and shown there.
Use Case for this kind of stuff is adjusting bdr tale and psy trance bass in order to avoid bdr tail and bass eliminate each other when phase is to much off... still some work to do, but the PoC is already promising.

Before I finished reading this, I thought that now you're going to flip the picture 90 degrees counterclockwise and say that this is a Christmas tree for all synth nerds and all that... :hihi: :tu:

Hilarious ... yes, it's a Christmas tree :-)
What a good reminder your reply is to not stop trying to look from different perspectives on things ...
