How does this all work when synths apparently have their own 'hardwired' midi cc responses.

For example I have a Kontrol S88 mk3 and have setup a midi remote template in cubase and mapped each physical dial/button to an instrument parameter in the midi remote.

button 1 is mapped to parameter 1 etc., so there is no need to communicate at all these cc messages directly to the synth.

I deleted all the existing mappings for Spire in the remote editor of the plugin but the 1st dial is cc119 and it controls the velocity next to x-comp without me setting anything up.

Whassa'goin'on?

for some reason it seems the remote editor has just stuck to some random defaults evern though in the picture you can see that I have deleted all assignments!
