Still have those 3 and still need to sell the Opsix! But, I’ll likely keep the SE-02.elxsound wrote: Sun Dec 31, 2023 12:27 am So 3 things are coming for 2024:
NI S88 Mkiii
CBA CXM 1978
CBA PreAmp Mkii
I don't want to add much more next year. The CXM is something I've been lusting over for a very long time. The PreAmp MKii will replace 1 pedal and then make up for the other drive pedals I got rid of.
I still have to get rid of Opsix, SE-02 & EXT-Box. I was planning to sell Microfreak, but it's a perfect size with CV/Midi outs that makes it worth keeping, especially with its form factor.
2023 Jamuaries helped me decide to get rid of things. I'm very curious to see what I can get out of 2024 Jamuaries.
*I was far busier than expected in 2024 on the modular side, but I really like my setup right now.

My TD-27KV2 arrived yesterday and I've been setting up today -- still quite a way to go. (Advantage of the TrapKAT: all one piece with a simple stand.) I was hoping to actually get wired up to the module today and try it... (Once I've checked it's all working, then I strip down the TrapKAT, clean up around it, move it out, move the TD-27 in, make sure it works with Reaper / Jamulus... and relax...)
In earlier news, I got an (unbranded but incredibly similar to the design, down to just missing the brand logo on the box, of the Vangoa) MIDI EWI for Christmas. I've managed a major scale and can just about keep in my head how to go up and down octaves at the same time as not dropping it... Simpler than the clarinet I used to play: I probably couldn't manage that now!

Bought an OXI one yesterday at Perfect Circuit which I will now stuff in my luggage for the trip home Monday. That place is dangerous!
But it was worth the trip, even though I didn't get a new synth to make noise.

At least I didn't buy the Cric...then I had a 95 minute drive afterward in LA traffic.

My office is just a few blocks down Empire from there. It’s particularly dangerous when I can just pop in during my lunch break!

Got my order successfully placed for Whimsical Raps Silhouette. It didn't sell out in 30 seconds or have a bunch of shopping cart failures etc. like some previous things they've sold.
Not sure if that should count as a 2024 or 2025 purchase since it will ship in January though

Surprisingly, the Scrooge kit turned up, so may build tomorrow.

Well, I couldn't resist. I ordered a Trio+ pedal for self-indulgent lazy jamming with myself.

Wow, £750 is less than I paid for my first HydraSynth, the 49 key model.werp wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2024 8:29 am A boxing day sale went off early where I am...I found it about 4pm on christmas day.
I stumbled across an Hydrasynth Deluxe (73 keys, double hydra engine etc) at the no-brainer price of $1499 AUD...
Nice score.
