I have the latest version of Mixcraft installed.
Running it on Win 10 latest update of course.
Having a AMD grafic card. Adrenalin Edition Version 24,9,1.

I experience strange crackeling while playing vst instruments with Mixcraft.
Any time I change a program in a synth or the gui makes some changes on the vst it has this crackling and stuttering suddenly.
Don´t have this problems with Cubase or other DAWs.

Anybody else hast this problem?

May I suggest asking on Acoustica's own forum, where there would be a greater concentration of Mixcraft users as well as the devs and support people themselves?

Meanwhile, I would guess it's more likely something to do with your audio output device and the driver for that. Maybe just a matter of updating or changing the audio driver?

I've started having similar issues in other programs. The limited information I've been able to gather seems to point to Windows after updates. I've just recently found out that Windows has deactivated the logical cores and some reading I've found has also shown that it feels most apps really don't need multicore use and forces them to a single core.
Personal conspiracy theory is they've done this to force us to upgrade our computer...

Seriously though, I've had to go into the system and specify using all physical cores even though not specifying is supposed to automatically use them all. It helped with most of the programs that developed the problem, but not all. Still trying to find a way to get the logical cores back.

Check to see if your system has changed and if it's even reporting accurately. Task manager will help expose whether things are on or not and if they've hidden them to keep you from knowing.
