That did occur to me. At this stage I am very seriously considering that you are spot on. But the one thing that I can't figure out is why his other stuff didn't do the same.Lunch Money wrote:I've loaded Convo Boy in all 3 of the hosts Morelia has mentioned, and while I didn't really mess around with it all that much (not at all in MiniHost), the GUIs at least appeared. I can't help but suspect that it's something in the system-- and not Convo Boy itself-- that's mucking things up.

As a matter of fact I just re downloaded Space Boy to confirm and yes it worked perfectly. What could this dll need that the others don't?

OK problem sorted. I am not exactly sure what was fixed but I believe it was something to do with the autoload/autosave feature. A big thanks to Wide Boy for caring enough to fix it when I think I was one (if not the only one) of few with the problem. Thanks very much.

I sometimes get some nasty program crashes when I accidently select an impulse that is too long for this plugin. Can't the plugin look at the WAV's "header" and inspect how long the WAV actually is, before it tries to load all of it? The idea being, the plugin would be able to gracefully reject any impulse files that are too long to properly open. Also, if there are certain sample rates, bit depths, or types of compressed WAV files that the plugin can't work with, those should be gracefully rejected as well. Could this capability please be added in the next version?
I just had Tracktion lock up solid, because of this.
(Other than the occasional crash, I really like this plugin.)
Thanks,
McLilith

Thanks for the prompt reply. I truly appreciate the work you've put into this program. It's become my favorite new plugin.

Well, I gotta take my hat off to you, too, Paul. I ended up going for the "commercial" release for 2 reasons--
1. To support a developer who has produced unique and useful plugs for an amazing price. Space Boy is still one of my favourite plug-ins and I'm starting to realize the power of Clone Boy and FreEQ Boy, too.
2. The extra functions add just enough 'extra' to the free version for me to justify the measly $12.95. For straight-up convolution use, SIR or the free Convo Boy may do it, but this is a different beast than SIR, and I can see myself using both. The scroll function and 2 IR channels is pretty nifty. If SIR was $12.95, I also would have bought IT. Come to think of it, I think I'll swing by and see if there's a donate button.
