Must haves i would say. All of them. LimiterNo6GE just out performs most other limiters i have tried and the true peak limiting on the output actually sounds good for once when you use it to just lick a stray remnant of peak that slipped through the main limiter. Completely invisible unlike Pro-L and a few others that sound odd for lack of a better word when you engage TP

Agree these are great plugs

They're great plugins indeed. I don't have the filter set, as I'm not sure I need them or what I'd use them for. Same with the vinyl lathe plugin. But otherwise, they're all stand-out plugins in terms of sound quality. Though, I'd still really love another mid-band in the regular SlickEQ GE.

Must admit that Nova never appealed to me but I went back and properly checked out Worral's vid on it and I hadn't realized how much useful stuff it can do. Might have to get it. And I've been wavering on Limiter6 for ages, so it must be time to get it, thanks to this thread for reminding me. Ozone is easy but it's been on my "not really as good as it's cracked up to be" list for a while now. Prices for TDR are no-brainers for the quality. Kotelnikov's the only compressor I use on master channel nowadays.

When one can do things like this per band ...

As much as I love their plugins, and I do, for whatever reason I've encountered multiple times different results after exports (Cubase user here). It happens notably with Arbiter. I spend time to tweak it to taste, export, and boom ! Totally different sound, just like Arbiter forgot to process fully or something. I'll investigate further. But I remember noticing the same thing with their mastering compressor, which is excellent nevertheless.

I haven't noticed this. Are you using it on a track or the 2-buss?

I love TDR VSTs. But I must say, unlike advertised here, SlickEQ can not do full Pultec EQP-1A emulation. And the way it does it is certainly not as easy to handle the way real Pultecs and copies do it.

Interested parties can check the SlickEQ Custom Models Guide, Analog-Based Model: Pultec EQP-1A Clone.

The knob mappings of the two modes shown in the manual might make you cross-eyed. Great if some find use for those modes, only saying this to tame unrealistic expectations.

Have to admit - and probably it’s because I’m not a mix engineer - I’ve never once thought to myself, “I want a Pultec”. I have, and have deleted, both the Noise Ash and UAD. I admit to caving into online popularity of them, which is useless on an individual basis. However, I regularly use TDR EQ.
