I have a temporary workaround for the issue with high CPU spikes in FL Studio :

Go to GReverb > Plugin Settings > VST Wrapper Settings > Troubleshooting.
Enable the option "Use fixed size buffer", then click OK.
The issue arises because FL Studio constantly changes the audio buffer size, using a variable buffer size. It's the only DAW in the world that employs this technique, which can lead to CPU spikes with certain plugins.

I’m actively working on finding a permanent solution for this.

Thank you all!

Hi everyone!

New version 1.1 is ready
  • Optional Pre-Reverberation Low-Cut Filter
A new (disconnectable) Low-cut filter with a 12 dB per octave slope is now available, fixed at 40 Hz before the reverb engine processing.
  • Logic Pro AU bus Layouts
Added support for Mono to Stereo and Stereo to Stereo bus layouts in Logic Pro.
  • FL Studio High CPU Utilization
Resolved an issue causing high CPU usage in FL Studio.
  • Extended Modulation Speed
Modulation speed parameters have been extended for greater flexibility.
  • UI State Save Issue
Fixed an issue where the plug-in state UI was not saved when reopening plugin.
(Note: The UI state still does not save when reloading the DAW.)
  • Damping Filter Consistency
Fixed an inconsistency in the damping filter at maximum values, which caused a balance issue in the right channel.
  • Internal DSP Gain Adjustment
The GReverb wet signal is now slightly louder by default due to adjustments in internal DSP gain.

It's free

I don't experience the spikes that happened before. Thanks.

Hi,
Do you have any other DAW that supports VST3 to check?
i've tested on 10.15 (Reason Studio, Bitwig and Reaper)
Try to delete plugin from VST3 dir:

Code: Select all

rm -rf "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/GReverb.vst3"
then copy it again to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
and run

Code: Select all

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/GReverb.vst3"
To rescan VST plugins in Cubase 12 on macOS, follow these steps:

Open Cubase and go to the Studio menu.
Select VST Plug-in Manager.
Click the gear icon (bottom left) to access the settings.
Click Rescan All to have Cubase perform a thorough check of all plugin folders1.
If some plugins are still missing, they might be blacklisted. To address this:

In the VST Plug-in Manager, go to the Blocklist tab.
Select the plugin you want to use and click Reactivate

am i correct in guessing:
- early shape = density buildup+diffusion setting?
- damping = reduce high frequency decay time
- bass freq = low frequency decay time multiplier
- brightness = post-reverb eq (bell or shelf?)
- high/low cut = post-reverb lpf/hpf

really enjoying the reverb, and appreciate the parameters added for 1.0. nicely done. is there a specific unit or algorithm you've drawn inspiration from?

Post

Yes, you are correct
early shape - I can't describe it shortly. basically it adds gain to set of allpass filters in early diffusion block.

Initially, I was inspired by Eventide Hall from h8000(I have it). However, the resulting reverb algorithm I created ended up sounding completely different. :)
