I pronounce my Sub Phatty as Mohg, e.g. rogue.

I'm glad this thread turned into a useful discussion about something useful [because the teaser was about as useful as a screen door on a submarine].
If we're going to pronounce Moog the way it looks, then I propose some new product names: Moog Fugue. Moog Huge (ok, soft g, but still sounds cool).
If it rhymes with rogue, then I propose the following names: Moog Brogue (can perhaps be a Scottish Moog with tartan front panel). Moog Vogue (tie in with a 40-year old Madonna song). Moog Epilogue (tha'ts actually not bad).
If we're using the Klingon pronunciation I've got nothing.

Kinda off topic but does anyone remember the name of the huge modular synth build by ex moog employees , around late 1970(ish ) , it was supposed to be superior to anything else during that time .
Verry rare and mighty expensive .

The E-mu Modular perhaps? They weren't former Moog employees (Dave Rossum was a founder for example) but the timeframe is about right.gentleclockdivider wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 2:31 pm Kinda off topic but does anyone remember the name of the huge modular synth build by ex moog employees , around late 1970(ish ) , it was supposed to be superior to anything else during that time .

Surely, We need a sweepstakes on which year they name it after?

I really wish they'd move away from this Model *year number* thing. I don't know which is which anymore. Plus, what will happen if two synths came out the same year?
