audio output problem

Hello group, when using audio input into my Volt 476 into my MAC OS/Catalina running Bitwig DAW, I am hearing the dry signal mixed with the wet/effected signal on an armed audio track while using whatever plugin in effects at the time. Does anyone have any idea why that may be?

I've never used Bitwig, but perhaps it's a matter of enabling monitoring on the same track as being played/armed? Either that or routing.

I had a DAW that had something similar happen, and it had to do with monitoring the track being played and just had to disable that in settings.

Thanks for the reply. So if I have recorded I only hear the effected playback, like as a test if I have a reverb turned all the way up. I'm curious how I can avoid hearing the dry signal while I'm playing instrument audio into the DAW to only hear the sounds from the effects chain in real time. If that makes sense. Could you alobarate more on what you meant? How would I go about disabling that?
