He's been saying that for what, like for 2 years?
I call bs. Not. even. a. single. bugfix. in. over. two. years.
Working on it? A single character a day? How do you define "working" in this case?
I wouldn't mind, but people are still paying for tiers while it's clearly unsupported and the sales are based on bogus pitches, like "prioritized support", "first access to new features" and "first access to new plugins". In reality there's no support and nothing new is coming out while the dev is laughing on his way to the bank.
Good luck relying on that synth after some update makes it dysfunctional.

The main problem with Vital, from the developer's point of view, is that he released a fully-featured, free version which became hugely popular, and then the paid versions didn't really include enough additional content and features to justify the upgrade price.
It's not a great business model.

After all, it's a great sounding synth.
I bought the "pro" version, but I'm not angered. Just hope he comes back someday, and starts developing again. We are all human beings.
If there is one thing that makes me "angry", then it is FXpansion.

what is concerning for me is that i bought presets for it and people still release preset packs for a product which seems to be abandoned/not supported by the dev, so if you got problems well thats it...
and how is activation handled? afaik if something happens you cannot activate it afaik...

As far as I remember, the developer confirmed he was still developing it.Rastkovic wrote: Wed Jan 15, 2025 9:18 am Just hope he comes back someday, and starts developing again.

It's not an activation, the login is to download presets and check for updates. Probably the text to wavetable feature is linked to it but I've never used that.Caine123 wrote: Wed Jan 15, 2025 9:22 am what is concerning for me is that i bought presets for it and people still release preset packs for a product which seems to be abandoned/not supported by the dev, so if you got problems well thats it...

Vital is such a great synth which I had high hopes for so I bought the pro version to support it. Unfortunately it looks like its been abandoned by its creator. I cant remember how long its been since the last update, but I seem to remember ppl have been reporting several issues that needs attention badly. Personally I have had major issues with the VST2 version hoggin´CPU to a point where its completely unusable. VST3 is a little better but still completely unacceptable. Especially when you compare Vital to its competitors:-/

Oh, then you probably haven't tried Phase Plant yet. One of the most CPU demanding modern soft synths I know (at least on my Intel Mac).218 wrote: Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:39 am Personally I have had major issues with the VST2 version hoggin´CPU to a point where its completely unusable. If unknown: In Vital, you can change the oversampling down to draft quality (at the advanced page). Just turn it up, before you render your track.
