Trying to get back into it after my last project. Just one instance of PhasePlant and one instance of Hive. Used the Mäag eq from PA in mastering for the first time. I really like it.

So cool. Two synths ? Minimalism at it's best ;)

Thanks dbo. Minimalism isn't my usual MO, but I just liked how this was going and went with it.

Cool, and Maag eq is quite nice. I'm interested in which synth is which sound here? Although both sound good, I like the low rumble especially, does not feel static.

The low end is PhasePlant. It's a pretty simple patch and then for processing I use the following, I'm automating the low pass to cut the high frequencies on the ProQ3 at for the first and last few bars:

Slowly, but surely, you're moving over to the "ambient side" :)

How many minimalisms make up a semibrevity?

This sounds like it could be a piece of OST scoring for a movie. Lovely atmosphere, with a sense of movement and mystery.

0:21,0:48,0:59,1:25,1:39,2:08 - There's a recurrent click/pop on the right channel, which sounds like an automation artefact. It's not too obvious - I only noticed it on my second listen.

Good work :)

The clicks are from Waves Vinyl. It's actually on the mix bus of every track I do, but I almost never use the vinyl clicks and crackle, but in this case I decided to turn them on.

I had a listen, I like the mood and the structure of the song a great deal. I get a sense of movement, tension, and maybe just a touch of impending dread. My typical instrumental listening is jazz or classical so I relate other music back to that and I can hear both in the composition. I don't really have any criticisms, I think the mix is good and accomplishes all of the things it should. I guess I could say it could be longer and "evolve" more. Good work!

I do like the flow and harmonic changes. The plinky sounds are a nice contrast to the rumbling synth.
Well Done.

Thanks for listening bobbackwards. I could definitely see this evolving more to a longer track like you mentioned. Usually my style tends to be fairly maximal, so this felt very much like an experiment to me, but I do think this direction is something for me to explore more in the future.
