If they could come up with a good sounding comb filter, I would ditch my Blofelds.

In a month or two.
I doubt it. I can't imagine Korg posting on their site to download a demo that far before you can actually do it.

There is no demo posted.. the Downloads associated with the OP are for the hardware..
ED is right.
You don't have to believe him or me, hopefully Dan will step in and you believe him.

It's not about who to believe. I'm simply reading what it says. If you scroll all the way down it says,"
First, try the demo version
Before authorization, multi/poly native runs in a free demo mode. You can play all of the sounds and explore all of its incredible capabilities, with only two restrictions: the software can only be used for 20 minutes at a time, and saving is disabled. To get started, create a free KORG ID account, download the Korg Software Pass (KSP) installation manager, and then use KSP to install the demo.

Seems they need to do a rewording of what is up.
Anyway I know for sure ED is right..

A search shows that this page was posted 12 hours ago:
https://www.korg.com/us/products/softwa ... ly_native/

It contains the copy that dblock posted, but it's a bit misleading as it seems to only be available to the hardware owners right now. Should be generally available before too long.

A teaser for everyone but the hardware owners at this time. :x

I would love to hear from a hardware owner if it is available to them already.

According to Synth Anatomy posted 7 or so hrs ago,Korg multi/poly native is available "soon" for $199. Existing hardware users can purchase the plugin for $49,99 with a coupon. I'm sure korg is just as anxious to take my money as I am to give it to them but I just wish they'd get their communication act together. composers, musicians and sound designers with a serious case of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) don't like their emotions being played with. lol!

Are they actually creating new models for their filters and other components? Or reusing the really old ones from Legacy MS-20 and Mono/Poly etc? I wish they would update those old ones. I just don't think their MS-20 or Polysix and MonoPolys tand up to modern emulations.

It will be the same exact ones that they keep recycling over and over again. There is no mention of new filter models in any of the promotional materials for the hardware and the plugin is exactly the same

There is an Ian Dixon interview with Dan on youtube.
I believe they are new filters.

Yes, they are new filters, and EvilDragon speaks highly of them. In fact, the SEM filter is also in the ARP 2600 plugin if you want to give it a shot!

If they are new filters they have done a pretty piss poor job of marketing that fact, the fact you have to go to some random YouTube video to find out is rather telling

Edit:I see Korg has now updated the hardware product page to reflect the new filters so apologies for my mistake. The ancient filters have been a disappointment for me for a long time

Post

New filters is nice to hear, but they need to update their old synths with those then. They are very long in the tooth!
