Yes you did. Would've been nice to hear it clearly from the horses mouth though as most would expect.

:dog: Oops - easy enough to look up, but I went too fast.

I may have to put this one on my short list of plugins to buy. I noticed that at the end of the video, one of the thumbnails for other videos was announcing the return of the Kronos. One of the few pieces of hardware I might consider.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

Trust the dragon. He often knows of what he speaks and not from his imagination.

I'll definitely be considering this. I don't really see the point of VA in hw, but a plugin will be worthwhile. I'm definitely not buying without a demo this time around though - I hope their coding is a bit better than Opsix & Wavestate releases. They fixed Wavestate but Opsix is still horribly broken on my system. If the coding team is in Japan, then I don't hold out much hope for a stable working release... :?

Recently Korg Japan have updated the Opsix Native as well, fixing most of the problems... and adding some nice UI eye-candies as well. It seems usable finally!

Oooh good news, thanks :tu:
TBH I gave up checking for updates and just wrote off Opsix Native, assuming they were never going to pull fingers out of arses and fix it. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Since I developed the Opsix Shimmer preset bank for it, I spent a lot of time with Opsix, discovered a lot of bugs and reported them all to them. I've been trying to get something done on several lines, because the pace of software development today is just not like that and it would be nice if they were a bit more frequent, as Opsix Native is still an unfinished product. Almost a year went by, and suddenly a major update was unexpectedly released, in which they fixed about everything and even improved the UI a bit. There are still Bitwig related bugs, hopefully they will be able to fix them faster now.

I'd love Multi/Poly in VST, but GUI is truly horrible. Nothing like the hardware version.
Just looking at it, I don't even want to try it... So cold and lifeless.

Opsix native was also a disappointment, sounds much worse than hardware, possibly due to D/A convertors?
Lifeless GUI and boring presets. Triton & Wavestation are awesome though.

Perhaps they will release proper Opsix and M/P in 20 years, when hardware versions are gone :hihi:

Opsix Native (and all the new Korg digital synthsÍ) sounds exactly the same, it is exactly the same code running.
I own the Modwave Native and Modwave mk2... my presets sound exactly the same in A/B comparison, so should work with Opsix (though have not tried it.)

I think it is just a matter of taste, I really like the GUI of Multi/Poly Native :)

Also, sound demos on Korg website are misleading.
It says "M/P native sound demos" but clearly, it's the same Soundcloud files from hardware M/P.
Let's hope the sound really is the same.

Why the hell did they make an entirely different interface for native version :dog:
It doesn't even look like a synthesizer, it looks like some engineering app. :x
I was hoping for a nice blue interface with lots of knobs & buttons...

Damn it, it should have been like ARP 2600, it's a VA!!! Analog and virtual analog is used in same manner.

They won't sound identical if you use analog outs on hardware

Good luck. I’ll be surprised if it’s still not broken, regarding the idle spikes on some CPU’s. The older the CPU, and more limited the market share, the less likely it’s going to get fixed if the cause isn’t immediately obvious or easy to solve.

OpSix has spiking issues on the 1st Gen i7 920's too. The Triton’s output converter modelling also doesn’t work on the 920. Probably because it’s using AVX instructions, or something which doesn’t jive with it. It hangs the machine for several minutes if you try to use the feature. Once a very popular CPU, it’s 17 years old this year, and the fact it otherwise runs ok is still something I suppose..

All the long way of saying (unfortunately) the only practical and realistic “fix” is to get a newer, more popular, CPU if it’s still broken and you actually wanted to use it. Whilst running badly, on the old 920, OpSix runs really well on Apple Silicon FWIW :D
