Hi there! Well, I'm looking for pedals because I currently have the two D16 ones that are very harsh and the Eventide ones, which although they sound pro, for some reason don't convince me
Best underdog phaser and flanger?

The best 4 stage phaser in plugin form, hands down
https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_PolyVibe/
Just depends on what kind of phaser tones/character you are after. They vary in pedal/hardware form too. I have 6 phaser pedals and they all sound and do something different.

Here is a fairly complete list of currently working (64-bit, VST3, Apple Silicon/Windows 10+) models of real flanger and phaser pedals:
Plugin Alliance ADA Flanger (A/DA Flanger)
Audiority Electric Matter (EHX Electric Mistress)
TC Electronic Stereo Chorus+Flanger (TC Electronic SCF)
Nembrini Fazevibe (F-Pedals Fazevibe)
Arturia Phaser BI-TRON (Mu-Tron Bi-Phase)
Fazertone Phaser74 (MXR Phase 90)
Audiority Dr Phase (MXR Phase 90/45)
TC Electronic XII Phaser (TC Electronic XII Phaser)
Unfortunately, there is still a dearth of proper flanger and phaser pedal models. Models of the BOSS BF-2 and MXR-117 flangers, and BOSS PH-1r & PH-2, MXR Phase 100, and EHX Small Stone phasers are the most desperately needed. It's crazy really that the audio plugin industry is as mature as it is and yet no one has modeled these absolute guitar staples as standalone plugins.
Kuassa has a good flanger and phaser in the EFEKTOR line that are worth checking out. They can get in the ballpark of the BOSS pedals, but they're not exact models.
Soundtoys Phase Mistress is also worth a look. It's very versatile. Again, not exact models, but it can get in the ballpark of a lot of different units.

Dr Phase is an analog simulation of the epochal MXR® Phase 90™ phaser pedal introduced in the early 70s (and it's free).
https://www.audiority.com/shop/dr-phase/
Electric Matter is an analog modeled simulation of the Electro-Harmonix® Deluxe Electric Mistress™, a late 70’s BBD flanger and filter matrix pedal. (only 10 Euro atm)
https://www.audiority.com/shop/electric-matter/
BLEASS Phaser is a comprehensive and highly versatile phasing effect. From gentle movement, resonant swirls, to stunning atmospheric soundscapes, BLEASS Phaser can do it all.
https://www.bleass.com/phaser/
BLEASS Flanger uses the sonic characteristics of classic flanger effects and brings them up-to-date with a pair of LFOs, variable modulation routing, an envelope generator and beat synchronisation.
https://www.bleass.com/flanger/
Ohmforce Mobilohm is an extremely versatile tool when it comes to shaping sound. The 3 phaser modes all sound phenomenal. Modulate everything with great controls. Four phaser cells. All of the parameters have a dedicated LFO. Morph between presets and many other tasty features! (and it's free)

Yeah aint nothing like my MXR-117, BF-2 or my PH-2 pedals really. I still need to get a couple of reamp/DI boxes so I can properly use them when I need em. I just use the Eventide Instant Flanger and Phaser in the box for the most part, or go to one of my Boss SE-50/SE-70s for hardware. Both of those sound fairly close to their pedal counterparts (the SE-50s phasers rule).

Ha. I think D16 and Eventide are the best. Guess I don’t have a recommendation.
I also use a Strymon Zelzah.
Dr Phase is good enough to get and it’s free.

I spend so much time testing flangers
The best one is in maxforlive it's called yflanger. No one come close it's insane..
Phaser wise the last minimal audio phaser is sick asfff
a big underdog is the new version that should be released someday of u-he Uhbik. It's coming some day i hope but the beta is sounding dope even tho it's hella buggy

I don't really use flangers, but the Melda phaser is by far my favourite phaser.

So we are actually talking about plugins, not pedals.

Soundtoys PhaseMistress
Very versatile with such a smooth thick sound. Totally different beast compared to Eventide InstantPhaser.
