Lol, Novation Bass Station from 1993, are you kidding me?
It was the only analog synth with MIDI I had for a short while in the 90's, I did not think it sounded good at all.

It was a cheap(er) option if you didn't have MiniMoog money, but if you had a MiniMoog I doubt you would be shopping for a BassStation. I don't dislike the sound, but I think it is nothing special either. So, if I look at my virtual instrument collection, I'm certainly not looking to get thisIt was the only analog synth with MIDI I had for a short while in the 90's, I did not think it sounded good at all.

Tried to run the demo and it tells me the trial period is expired.
Also I wish they'd stop displaying prices without VAT. Plenty of other retailers manage to bake VAT into the displayed price.

Not really what I expected. Had the Bass-Station plugin, but never used it. The V/A/K-Station would have been more interesting for me, I used to own the A-Station (which I really liked the sound of, back then at least). Or even more interesting, the Supernova (I/II)

Note that this is not the same DSP as the old Novation plugin, IIRC.

You mean it might be the same as Bass-Station II? Or something else completely?EvilDragon wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2025 11:16 am Note that this is not the same DSP as the old Novation plugin, IIRC.

I wasn't assuming that, or implying it. Just that there was a VST version before, so it is not like this an emulation never done before. Of course, the Gforce treatment is nice (with all the X-mod stuff), but I think there are much more interesting synths to be emulated and get that treatment.EvilDragon wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2025 11:16 am Note that this is not the same DSP as the old Novation plugin, IIRC.
As I said, with everything we have available today, I'm not shopping for a BassStation plugin.
