Anyone updated to 24H2 yet? Any issues with audio or anything else worth mentioning? I'm not that keen on updating, even if MS seems to push it onto everyone right now.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No problems, but I debloated.

Yes, the update broke Studio One so I rolled it back with my backup software. Will try again some time.

I am pretty sure my partner is running the latest Studio One and the latest Windows 11 available without any problem. I am sure because he has an "update" syndrome meaning any time some update is released he can not go to sleep until he updates.vitocorleone123 wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 4:48 pm Yes, the update broke Studio One so I rolled it back with my backup software. I can ask if is there anything special he did if you want but pretty sure he runs Studio One on 24h2 without any problems.
Also, Presonus doesn't mention any issue on their compatibility page.

The way you said it is as if installing 24h2 will break Studio One exclusively. If a 24h2 update breaks Studio One and if this is widespread wouldn't they inform their users to not update?

I was merely talking about my personal experience with a perfectly working computer that, after the update, no longer worked perfectly until I reverted to before the update was installed. There was one and only one change that caused the problem(s): the windows update.kmonkey wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 5:52 pmI am pretty sure my partner is running the latest Studio One and the latest Windows 11 available without any problem. I’ve read of at least one other person having similar issues.
And, no, Presonus wouldn’t do anything except blame the user, as is their M.O.

A quick google search reveals several people on different websites reporting different DAWs being broken/kneecapped by 24H2.
Also turned up this: "Microsoft observed that the root issue of the Windows 11 24H2 audio bug lies with a service called “AudioEndpointBuilder”. The company is investigating and will issue a fix soon." <-- this could be related, or not, but it does highlight there's audio-related issues
https://www.windowslatest.com/2024/11/2 ... e-setting/
So... it MAY work great for you. Or it may not.
I was getting ready to try it again and decided to keep waiting after reading person after person reporting issues. UAD users reporting issues with hardware. Game players reporting issues. Cubase and Studio One users reporting issues. Etc.

Fantastic. No one is arguing that it's working for those 4 people. Thank you.Haptix wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:00 amTheres already 4 people on this thread saying it does work without any problems.vitocorleone123 wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2025 11:16 pm A quick google search reveals several people on different websites reporting different DAWs being broken/kneecapped by 24H2.
What I'm saying is that there's plenty of people for whom it is NOT working, as well. And, therefore, it may not work for someone else and that they should be cautious and make a backup before applying it (which people ought to do anyway, before applying MSFT updates). I've never said, for example, that people shouldn't upgrade at all.
Or are you saying that, because it's working for you (and 3 other people), that, therefore, it is working for everyone and those of us it is not working for are.... hallucinating? Lying? Just curious.

Since you put forward this idea yourself so conveniently with words inherently weird regards to the matter, I will go with this one.vitocorleone123 wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 5:02 am Or are you saying that, because it's working for you (and 3 other people), that, therefore, it is working for everyone and those of us it is not working for are.... hallucinating? I’m sorry I could not recruit people from the Internet to come and make accounts here and post their experiences in order to satisfy your ridiculous demands that you apply to others but not yourself.Haptix wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 5:39 amAll I see is one person making of claims in behalf of other people.vitocorleone123 wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 5:02 amFantastic. Have you considered maybe using Google to search? If you want to message me I can help teach you how to use computers and the Internet.
At any rate, unless you ask for help, I’m done with you.

Hi all, my Ableton Live Intro 11 now hangs on startup then once you you manage to close it it will not open at all. Cheers Glyn.
